I work in a place that allows me to listen to podcasts/audio books for my entire 12 hour shift. I burn through a book every one or two days and so far it's great, wish more of the books had audio versions, but I'll take what I can get since this seems to be the best fit for me 4/5

I'm not a big audio book person and I feel like all the books I want to read or have read and want to read again are audio only now. I want the written word that I can sit and read in peace and quiet not people talking. Also, I'm not to big on the update with the way things slide around more, makes me dizzy. 3/5

I downloaded this app because on the business insider web page, it said I needed to download the app in order to finish reading the document about Tom Brady and his role in deflating the balls. After downloading the app, I still cannot finish reading the document. Removing it now. 1/5

So far the only glitch seems to be when I'm starting to listen to a book after taking a break, it tends to jump back to the start of the chapter. Just have to make sure I set and use the bookmark feature. 4/5

Randomly skips several minutes of audio books when screen is off. 5 updates further and still no fix to a bug that pretty much renders the whole app useless. Unacceptable. 1/5

After the last update, if the chapter is around 5 or more minutes it will more often than not skip to the next chapter when there is 30-60 seconds left of that chapter I was listening to. Please fix asap! 3/5

I easily find the books but when it comes to downloading them, it says to check my internet connection..though internet speed is perfectly fine.. secondly same book if in any other language can be easily downloaded..but when I download d eng version it shows d same msg stated above for some books..I have uninstalled d app and again downloaded it bt I don't think it's making any difference. 2/5

It is like having a whole library by your side. Very helpful on a long distance trip. Before I have some problem with the offline reading, but now I have absolutely no problem with it. Also, if you are a student, I recommend you to download this. 5/5

Latest update is brutally bad. Slow, takes forever to open a book, and loses my place in the book half the time. Plus the terrible reading experience. Saves me money on buying a lot of books, but the app itself is just so, so bad. 5/5

SCRIBD has a HUGE selection of Audiobooks and ebooks, and you don't have wait around for credits either! The audio quality is pretty good, too. I ALWAYS check here first before buying anything on Audible. The Apps on the other hand can be frustrating. You have to go into a book to add to a collection. Sometimes I just want to look at a book description but it will open it or start playing the audio book. It's all worth it though. 4/5

I used the app one month paid for it and had issue with it the next month I can't get it but still took my money and will not return it to me I've sent emails after emails I get the answer it would be better to talk to person I don't advice anybody I get this app 1/5

The service has a great selection, but the app is a miserable experience. I use it exclusively for audiobooks. Audiobooks constantly stop playing for no reason. They stop suddenly when the phone screen is off. They stop when I switch to other apps. If I'm listening to an audiobook, get a notification, unlock the phone to read the notification, then turn the screen off again, it stops. Sometimes it will be the only active app and it will just stop without starting again. I have to force close the app then reopen it to get the book to play. Even when books are downloaded, it takes time to "buffer" every time something loads rather than just playing it. This makes the transition between chapters annoyingly long. The widget never works. While it looks pretty, it lacks basic features like changing playback speed. It also seems to use a ton of battery compared to comparable streaming services and audiobook players (Spotify, Audible, Overdrive, Listen, Smart). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. My phone is unrooted. I uninstalled, booted into safe mode, cleared the cache, reinstalled. Nope. It's just a bad app. 1/5

I have been a dedicated user for 2 years, but they recently decided that the small romance publishers they had contracts with weren't profitable enough and dumped all of them. 95% of the books in my library are being discontinued and the books available in the genre are mostly available for free elsewhere. Why would I pay for that? Not only that, but they removed the books from the search list so anything that wasn't already in your library (sequels) can't be read before the final date. Don't bother if romance is your thing, try kindle unlimited or Oyster. 1/5

I read a LOT of audiobooks. I can borrow them from the library, but the books are limited and usually have part of the series but not all of the books. And I refuse to sign up for Audible and pay $15 a month to get one book for free. I don't want to keep them, just read them. A friend recommended me to Scribd. What a great referral!!! There are a ton of books and I love how you can make collections and keep the books sorted out. I also like how you can either download the book or stream them. There are two things that I am not impressed with. Navigating around can be a real pain in the butt on the phone. You can slide to the left or right to check out books but if you want to get more information you bring up the book. Unfortunately on my phone when I try to go back to that list it kicks me all the way back to the main menu. I also have learned that starting, stopping, and jumping ahead or back is really close to the status bar where you can jump to places in that chapter. I have restarted chapters several times on accident. I also with there was some counter for where I am in the total book, not just that chapter/section. Beyond that, great service and great app. 4/5

I love the idea behind Scribd. Paying $10/month for unlimited audiobooks is great! But the app itself has serious problems. Where's the option to download audiobooks to my SD card? This thing is eating my memory for breakfast. Also, why is it constantly asking me to sign in/up again? Also, what's with the scrolling when I browse categories? I turn the books and the thing pushed me right back to the beginning of the list. Pleas fix it so I can rate it better and recommend it to friends. 3/5

Scribd has books categorized to find easily and you can browse just audio, which is what I wanted. Plus they do not charge upgrade fees to enable the audio on any of the books at Scribd. The app is easy to navigate and the problem of audio stopping frequently like it does with Kindle is non existent. Plus, Scribd has audio editions of books that Kindle does not have. There are no limits to how many books you can download at a time and for 9 bucks a month I feel like I won the audio book lottery. 5/5

Saves me so much money! I love to read and easily spend $40 a month on books,this app really gives me the books I love for a big savings..The update is very helpful. Still loving this app.! 5/5

This app is a sub-par reader for public domain PDFs (like court orders) uploaded to Scribd, which would be much better read in a proper PDF reader were it not that Scribd makes getting PDFs really difficult. Sorry to say, but this is the single Internet service I passionately hate. 1/5

Forced to download to read a doc. After installation tries to force membership, take me to doc button does nothing. Try 'open in app' from website again, app opens but no doc, just another up sell dialog. This is shady. If app is good folks will use it. Forced pointless memberships and other bs, no thanks. Didn't even show me the doc in question after 5 mins of dialog dismissal. Horrible app, to the trash can immediately. 1/5

I badly wanted to read some informative article and then it turned out to be forced subscription , credit card details, etc. Scribd has to transcend from the era when you have lots of complicated procedures to access the services. 1/5

Just got a new LG4, use it for audio books. Have tried 3 different books, 1 book, Gone Girl went from part to part instead of by chapter. Next couple books I tried constantly skipped to the next chapter with about 30 seconds left in current chapter. Will probably have to cancel my subscription due to issues. Had no problems with earlier phone. Tried reinstalling app, didn't help. Dissapointed. 1/5

It's the best reading app out there with lots of features. My only complaint is that sometimes when I reopen the app, my book elk go back to the very beginning on its own. As a result, I need to bookmark the place I stopped listening just in case. 4/5

When ever I open profile page of user from application it says he hasn't upload anything yet although if I open from browser it shows all loads normally 1/5

This morning the app started acting up: after downloading a few audio books over wifi and switching over to cellular network, I had to re-download them. Then, I logged out of my account, and all the books I had saved to my device were deleted (I know this is really not a glitch, but it would have been nice if the warning message had mentioned that downloaded content would be gone from the device). 2/5

If they want to pull away serious audiobook users frm Audible or the free content of Overdrive, someone needs to spend 30min with such a user & find out what we need. Meanwhile, devs PLS try out "Smart Audiobook Player." put on your Bluetooth headset & see how an audiobook player SHOULD work. Look at the config menus etc. 4/5

All novels may not be latest but they suit my style of reading, i read 1book in 2days,novels are written in good English, I would continue my subscription beyond my trial period. The app also has very good reading settings,so my eyes don't hurt. All in all a true value for money from today morning app keeps on crashing 5/5

Zero Bluetooth support besides for forwarding sound..doesn't send author, title, artwork, time etc. to car Head Unit, pause and play do not work from HU..Mort player, Listen Audiobook Player all work and display on same head unit, so it isn't a car/phone issue. Come on devs, cars are one of the most common places to listen to audiobooks. How about some more options..DEVS download the other mention players and look at the added features..auto reverse x seconds on pause, etc. Use these as templates 2/5

Was forced to install app to read multiple pages of a document. If your product was good I would download it because of how awesome it was and how often I used it. Forcing users to download just to get to page three is pretty crappy business practice. 1/5

First, I was forced to use this app in order to read the last page of a four-page document I was reading on the web. Then I got hit with a login prompt when I just wanted to read a single page. Finally I get past that, and it's pushing me to sign up for $9/month before I've even had a chance to read a single page, let alone explore the site. Too pushy. 2/5

Before the last update the app was great. Now the search does not even come close to what I am looking for. Author's pages only have collections which are empty. Very sad.
