Crashes by anonym Crashed a few times and take a lotta time to sync. Cannot download files 1/5
What happened? Used to be five stars. by anonym I've been using the paid version since I got my first Droid. For nearly seven years, I felt it was the best Exchange client for Android. The latest version of HD sucks. My Droid Turbo looks for any excuse to rotate the screen, which results in losing the multi-page email I'm composing 100% of the time and of course it never automatically saves a draft. I shouldn't have to manually save a draft every 5 seconds or disable auto rotate just to avoid losing my work. 1/5
Lollipop update! by anonym Features for this product and security have always been the best there is out there for Exchange email. Update: still having issues after lollipop update with lockups. 3/5
Cumbersome by anonym On a phone. Calendar appointments from Outlook are very small. UI is clunky and seems old and outdated. If my company didn't force it, I wouldn't use it. 2/5
Solid app, but still has stability issues by anonym Latest install seems to still have stability issues. This is the most used app on the phone, work requires we use it. 3/5
Simply the best! by anonym I have been using this software for 4 years now and it is just the best Exchange email client you can get. It can sync all my emails and the search is fantastic. Best email client period! 5/5
Please remove "delete" in notification bar? by anonym Can you PLEASE remove the delete option on the notification pane? I have accidentally deleted so many emails since there is an enormous delete button next to the "mark read." :-( 1/5
Credit where credit is due by anonym Grey icons have been fixed and new 400% and 500% zoom options have been added to the calendar which is a Good Thing. Still the most functional email system on the market for Exchange. Things I would like: a configurable Done command that you could preset to mark complete and put in a predetermined folder for done items; and a configurable Action command to flag and move to a predetermined folder for pending items. 4/5
Awesome alternative to built in email client by anonym Not so "shiny" GUI, but full functional! Very convenient for people who don't wish to encrypt/pass-protect their whole phone, when joining a secure Exchange environment. 5/5
Feature-rich, clumsy UI by anonym I was skeptic about this app at first, but it has turned it to me the app with the most features for enterprise email. The user interface could definitely use a overhaul. 4/5
The best Antivirus by anonym I could not find the latest Norton Antivirus 2015 in hafeez center in Lahore , Pakistan , it is the biggest electronic market in Punjab Provinces , now I have problem updating my Cumputre with Norton Antivirus , and I have no protection to have new one install. 5/5
Integration Without Compromise by anonym Secure, bundled alternative to standard Exchange integration on Android. Steep price but to avoid corporate control of my private device, I'll take it. 4/5
Was working by anonym Was working fine for few years. All of a sudden, no longer. It keeps telling to subscribe, but Ive had a key for a time. 3/5
Okay but three problems by anonym 1) exchange only, no secondary email support - pop, imap. 2) clunky User Interface 3) no simple # of unread emails on the icon (a 12 yr old could do this) 3/5
Worst application ever by anonym Barely usable, insanely thoughtless and outdated ui, ultimately diminishes the value of having a smartphone; only reason I use this is because I'm forced to by my IT dept. Would enthusiastically stop if I could. 1/5
Worst email application ever! by anonym Full of bugs, lots of problems, total waste of time. 1/5
Still a battery hog by anonym Thought I'd try email synch again. As soon as I did, Touchdown started eating my battery again. Synching has been turned back on for about 8 hours and my phone has been kept awake the entire time and battery dropped by 40%. This issue has been going on for way too long, close to a year, and persisted even on a new device. Default exchange client does not exhibit this behavior. Turning Touchdown back off and switching back to the default app, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it works. 1/5
Feature Request by anonym I've been using this app for years and overall very pleased with it. One feature I would like to see added is the ability to set sync rules for individual folders, which override the default sync dates. e.g. If I have the sync period for emails to be 1 week, but I wanted to sync all mail in a particular folder, irrespective of how old it is, to ensure I always have certain important reference emails to hand. Otherwise nice job. Thanks. J.S. Lewis 4/5
HD works on Note 4 by anonym Org. Review: Play store does not indicate why there is Touchdown & Touchdown HD, plus you have Touchdown key. Pro: Encrypts work Outlook w/o having an entire phone encrypted. (Lollipop updates fail with entire phone encrypted.) Settings work beautifully, except the font & colors with my signature. Con: One pricey app. 5/5
UI Refresh by anonym Would LOVE to see this app get a massive overhaul. Love the features but it's such an eyesore. 3/5
Works again by anonym My company recently switched to Office 365, and this app is working again. I'm not sure if it was fixed by the switch, a recent update, or a combination of both, but its back to normal. 4/5
Great app, needs some polish by anonym Continues to be miles better than any other exchange mail app. Also continues to need some aesthetic touches. The zoom in/out toggle needs transparency b/c it covers the bottom text in message view. Thanks for the quick turnaround on fixing the button contrast after last update! 5/5
Unfortunately support is lacking by anonym Been using this app since Froyo unfortunately over the last year the app seems to be getting worse and support is non existent. I'm now experiencing messages sent that simply disappear. 2/5
Was good, but hasn't kept up by anonym Three years ago, this was the definitive choice for Exchange access. Now with only minor updates, the UI is exposed as clunky and the look as dated. Those updates were supposed to have fixed compatibility with later Android variants, but in my experience they have reduced reliability to the point where I now need to look for an alternative. 2/5
best app for exchange by anonym This is probably the best productivity application available. A must for exchange server. though recent versions are having issues with calendar, not all events are syncing, some are showing an hour off the actual time. 3/5
WARNING: Search does not work in an encrypted environment! by anonym Support notes from Nitro confirm local email search does not work if active sync policy forces encryption. Worse yet app will hang if you attempt to use local search in encrypted environment. RECENT UPDATE: Nitro claims to have fixed this; however, search performance is so slow (obvious w/o indexing) the local search feature is unusable. I.E. The app hangs during search and Android reports the app as "not responding". How can this go unaddressed for so long? 2/20/15 2/5
Was the best by a mile ... But not anymore by anonym Was the leading exchange client by a long way. But no investment in front end, functionality or even bug squashing for a long time. Free apps such as Microsoft Outlook are making this look like an antique. Come on, this needs major update asap! 1/5
Good app but bad security by anonym I used to like this a lot with my company Exchange email. But now password is shown in the clear just by going into legacy advanced settings and checking the "show password" box. This is unsecure. Also appears to no longer be any customer support now that it's owned by Symantec. 1/5
I can get my email by anonym But the UI is not great, and I noticed today that Touchdown used 51% of my battery with 8.5 hours of keep awake time. Please fix! 2/5
Functions OK but has issues by anonym I've found it does exactly what I purchased it for, and that was to sandbox my corporate email so I could lock my phone with less secure methods. Like others have said, the ui isn't the best and could certainly do with a rework. The most frustrating bug at the moment is every time I open the app and unlock it out crashes on the 1st attempt. Frustrating as this is a frequent workflow with something that is a productivity tool. 3/5
App is hopelessly broken by anonym Every time I use this app it annoys the hell out of me. There is no way to attach a file from external storage to a reply. Calendar is unusable for creating multiple attendee meetings. There is a search function now but there is no acknowledgement that anything is actually happening when I touched the start search button. And searching cannot continue while the app is running in the background. You just have to wait ... and wait ... and wait ... Don't try to be productive by opening another app while you wait for search to complete because search will just stop. Finally, a task list is only useful if it actually shows tasks from Outlook - which Touchdown doesn't do. Norton owes me my money back! 1/5
Complete trash by anonym Switched to THD from gmail app due to company policy. The UI has the worst design I've seen in an app & there's some terrible design out there. The compose email action is buried in menu! That should be proof enough that this app has 0 regard for UX. It's bug ridden. My email view no longer shows body and actions when I select an email... Only if I run landscape can I read emails. I can't say I've ever truly HATED using an app before and it's pretty sad that I found hatred in an email client. Yikes. 1/5
So and so by anonym Stopped working on my Nexus 6 after the 5.1 update. They are always lagging behind in making sure the program plays nicely with the new Android updates 3/5
by anonym It does the job it's supposed to well enough unless you're composing an email and accidentally change orientation and crash the app and lose the email you had typed out. UI needs an updating but unfortunately there have not been many noticeable updates to the app and Norton has maybe released 1 since acquiring the app. 3/5
Must move on....sadly by anonym Was the absolute best app for exchange server mail for many years. Now with Norton as owner, apparently they purchased this app only to absorb it into their invisible enterprise portfolio. I recommend switching to Nine folders exchange app. It is excellent with good support. 1/5
Great but....... by anonym I am no longer able to click on phone numbers to dial out after the upgrade to Lollipop. I hope this is resolved soon. My phone is an LG G3 so I'm not sure if it's device specific. 4/5
No longer works on my Note 8 tablet by anonym Latest update caused app to stop working completely on my Note 8 tablet. Worked fine for nearly two years on this device with Nitrodesk running the show. Symantec... What's up? Running Android 4.4.2 on the device. 1/5
Worked well but now not so much... by anonym I have been using touchdown for about a year and it always worked very well. I just updated the app and now when I open the app it goes to emails but I am unable to open them from the initial screen. I have to go into the menu and click "classic view" in order to open emails. 3/5
Great solution for exchange - UGLY UI by anonym Been using this for a year. Works well, not too buggy. But the UI needs updating. With Norton's backing hire a cool designer from Apple 3/5
For phones, stick to the orig version by anonym The HD version puts some functions in hard to reach places when operating with one hand. I'm uninstalling and switching back to the same the phone version for my LG G2. There's no advantage to the HD version that I can see. 3/5
