Cant use it by anonym There is no settings button on galaxy s5 so I have no way of using the app. Love this app, please fix it! Updated: menu button reinstated, can now use! 5 stars! 5/5
Works note 4 by anonym Just played with this for the first time on my way home. Will Take Some Playing With To Figure EVERYTHING out, But Works GOOD So far. 5/5
v1.1.52 (10-11-14) by anonym Fun. Pair this up with the Bluetooth OBD-II connector. Gives you access to a surprising amount of data. It is like having a test stand control room screen in your car. This engineer loves it. 4/5
Very good app by anonym Purchased pro after using this app. Highly recommend both. Really great he can develop this app for the price Keep the updates and improvements coming. Wonder if output state control can be added to the app and simpler recorder for reading back specific pids I would buy those plug ins 5/5
Doesn't work anymore by anonym Used it a few times over the last year and it worked fine. Saw a couple of updates get applied over the last week or two, and now it won't work anymore. Connects to OBD, and shortly thereafter says connection lost...retrying. this repeats forever. 2/5
Connection problems by anonym I experianced problem connecting a Samsung Galaxy GT-I9295 Androisd 4.2.2 to a cheap aBuy OBD2 Bluetuth device. Interestingly after I installed the OBD ECU Access Tester App I got it working. The procedure is: 1. Pair the ELM327 with the Bluetuth phone. 2. Run the OBD ECU Access Tester App. and turn thr ignitian on the car ON 3. Connect 4. Select the OBDII from the device list 3. Access the ECU 4. Stop the OBD ECU Access Tester App. 5. Start the Torque Lite 6. Settings, select Bluetuth, Select the OBD device. 7. It all works fine until the 8. Now it works fine until turn the ignitian on the car OFF 9. The only way to get it working again is to unplag the ELM327 abd start from step 1. I hope that helps the developers to solve the problem. The OBD ECU Access Tester App. reported: 2. Using non-OBDKey unit : ELM327 v2.1 3. Device description OBDII to RS232 Interpreter 4. Protocol in use is ISO 9141-2 keywords 08 08 5. ECU address 00, OBDII System is EOBD compliant. 6. ECU address 00, BF9FB991 responded OK. 7. ECU address 00, 80000000 responded OK. 8. MIL reported as on. OBDII (MIL causing) DTC count reported as 1 9. Continuous monitor status since DTCs cleared. 3/5
Awesome by anonym I use this on my cars, my friends, and my co-worker's cars and it works pretty good. Love how it has a customizable display to put gauges on. Going to get a new tablet soon n use it to monitor everything on my car. Clears cel codes and tells u whats wrong. I know some auto shops locally do this for free but it's convenient being able to plug my bluetooth reader in and being able to read my ecu from my driveway. Going to buy the pro version since the boost display doesn't work on my volvo on the lite version 5/5
Great by anonym Used it to clear codes and just watch gauges bounce around. It's good for that. The paid version is even better. GUI in the Lite version is kinda terrible though, it's noticeably better in the paid version 4/5
HUD mode bug by anonym On my HTC M8 when going in HUD mode everything becomes mirrored HUD mode is awsome becase it makes seeing everything eaisier on the M8. If this is fixed ill buy the pro version and give this app 5 stars 5/5
Does not work by anonym Used three 3 different obd2's and this app doesnt work at all with any if them 1/5
Doesn't read VW codes by anonym Basically not a whole lot of use. Does not read VW fault codes and obviously cannot reset them. Very disappointed with this app 2/5
by anonym Love this app! I don't waste $$ anymore because I can see as soon as my sensors are ready after a repair driven code reset. The smooth scrolling update made it much better too! 5/5
got the second best reader with Bluetooth and this app cannot pair with it..even though my samsung g3 is paired with it. by anonym no other Bluetooth connections aside from the OBDlink and yet I could never get the torque pro to work once.....I did get the liteg version to work for about 2 minutes ...would be great if it would just connect to it or have a better options to connect or make, remake a connection..causes more frustration than its worth... 1/5
Best code scanner I've ever used by anonym I'm a mechanic and have used code readers like the Genesis 2 that cost thousands of dollars, and this program is easier to use and it's customizable interface gives better diagnostic information! So happy with it. 4/5
Works by anonym Pairs easily and is quite detailed. Used it to read, define, and clear error codes with a compatible Bluetooth receiver I purchased from Amazon. So much better than going to a mechanic. Would highly recommend! 5/5
A problem by anonym The free version of the app talks to my 2006 Subaru Forester as long as I unplug the (clone) OBDII adapter and plug it back in again. I have to do this every time I restart the car. Since I have to use needle-nose pliers to do this, it is less than satisfactory. Is this bug fixed in the paid version? TIA, Ian. 4/5
Great app by anonym It worked great on tab 3 but didn't connect to the OBD scanner when installed on S DUOS 2. The obd codes internet search is great, guages and themes, trouble codes scanning, connection speed, CEL removal all great. 5/5
Worthless, can't even configure the "lite" version to work with bluetooth by anonym The latest update fixed the issues I was having before with not all the menus being there, including the EXIT button so that the only way to quit the app was to uninstall it lol. I was finally able to get the app to connect to the OBD2 scanner but now it goes to the "Negotiating protocol -automatic" stage and hangs up. Sometimes it loses connection with the reader and starts all over with a new Bluetooth connection and starting the "communicating with OBD2" dialog all over. It always hangs up after another couple of steps, never getting beyond "Proto: automatic scan" or whatever. I'm thinking this isn't the app so much as there is something wrong with my OBD2 reader. Funny that the app wouldn't give me an error message after a half hour of trying. I nearly ran my battery dead on my minivan waiting for it to succeed negotiating a protocol. Where is C3PO when you need a protocol droid? I sent ti back to Amazon and bought a different brand with better ratings. I raised the rating for this app from 1 star to 3. If I can actually get this to work I'll raise it again. So far I don't know if it is the app or the reader. Cheap junk gonna junk 3/5
Doesn't work on my note 2 by anonym I wznt to know how I can use it on obd2 interface on my ford ka ?Please answer me 1/5
Hum ! by anonym On Opel Agila, I can see the throttle % but not on my Suzuki SX4. For the SX4, I use Multiecuscan which will show the throttle % ? Anyway this is the Lite version and I accept it is limited but I am not inclined to buy the Pro as I doubt it can come close to Multiecusan. Indeed what puzzles me and makes me suspicious about the overall quality of the product, it is the setup, mainly the units ! Like 95% of the world population 100% of scientists and 99.8% of engineers, I use metric. So why in hell, do I see PSI in the display all for the Boost, while I have selected bar ? Why do we have to select every units while it would be simpler to just have Metric as default and select Imperial with all its imperial variations (UK and US) for the few stuck in the dark ages ? Please make things simple. 2/5
Covers the basics - Pro is a worthwhile investment. by anonym This is old, butt-ugly and tricky to use - but if it works and your adapter is compatible, you're good. Definitely worth the upgrade to Pro though - much cleaner and user-friendly interface after you've tried this Lite version! 4/5
It use to work by anonym Ever sence my lg g3 phone did an update all it does is loop, keeps on losing connection. It use to work like a pro but now its crap. fix it!! 2/5
Needs a few more things by anonym Ive had this app for quite some time lots of good stuff on here but i would like to see a few more things added. ABS codes are a must and currently not supported, also misfire data this is where it should show what cylinders are misfiring and how many times each cylinder has misfired. These two options are very important in diagnosing a vehicle for problems. Please add them to make this app more useful. 4/5
Won't connect by anonym 2001 F150, says connected to OBD, keeps showing auto scan, never connects, just keeps cycling thru protocols. Is there any differences in the way the Pro version compared to free version connects? I'm not going to buy the Pro version unless someone can verify the torque app will connect to my truck using the Vgate bluetooth adapter. 1/5
Pro not usable by anonym Got the pro copy of this and has no menu button and dev will not respond or fix it. Really upset about this. No refunds ether.... $5 gone. 1/5
Simply doesn't work. by anonym I wanted to try this out on the new "Goliton® Bluetooth Supper Mini OBD 2" (I like that they used "Supper" instead of "Super;" guess I can have it for dinner.) Decided to try the "Lite" version of this to test it out. Failed. First, it "Detected" I had Pandora on my Samsung Galaxy S4 (Running of course "Kit-Cat.") And gave me a "warning" that Pandora might interfere with Bluetooth. Huh? I've got SEVEN other Bluetooth devices paired and working with that phone. But it DID pair to the OBD 2 device. But it will NOT "sync." I removed Pandora, rebooted and ... same thing. Spent almost an hour trying, re-trying, and simply waiting. Never worked. And there's no diagnostic data from the app to tell me WHY it can't connect; just goes into an "infinite loop" of trying and failing. Frustrating. Whoever wrote this ... um, "try harder." This program, for me at least, is a "bust" and a waste of my time And from some other reviews, I'm not alone.I don't think it's the OBD 2 device, I just think the program wasn't written well. I'm just glad I didn't buy the "Pro" version. 1/5
Decent app by anonym I'm a "know nothing" about cars and I've heard this app is where to start. Seems pretty easy to use. I would like to be able to use/adjust an indicator or two on the dials and graphs to show me when something is too high or low. i. e. Temp overheat or fuel pressure. That would give it 5 stars from me, Ian. 3/5
by anonym I have both versions this one and the paid one... the free version works good but the paid version for my tablet works much better. more user friendly. I use it with the cheep obd2 Bluetooth adapter and I have yet to find a car it will not work on. Nice work !! 5/5
Works great! by anonym Make sure you get a good quality bluetooth OBDII adapter. The first one I bought for $7 on Amazon worked with my friends 01 Hyundai Elantra but not my 05 GMC Canyon, after further investigation I purchased another scanner for about $20 on Amazon and it works great with my vehicle. I was able to diagnose my CEL problems and make the repairs myself. Only problem I have is that the metric units won't convert even after telling it to do so in the settings menu. 4/5
Using Galaxy S5 by anonym I bought the elm 327 and hooked up to my vehicle, downloaded Torque (lite), connected it via bluetooth, but it doesn't show no engine parameters although it says connected to ECU. Isn't the lite version suppose to give you some free parameters? Or is my ELM327 defective? 2/5
Great FREE App. by anonym This is pretty good for an introduction to the PAID App. Like it says in the description below, you're not able to "tweak" or read certain things in this App like the PAID verion. A word from the wise... please don't buy those cheap OBD2 readers from Ebay. I bought 2, yes 2, from Ebay and neither read the protocol. They just continuously looped. At first I thought it was this App. until I bought the BAFX OBD2 straight from their website and now I have no issues using this FREE App. I'm anxious to buy the full version to see what I can get my PCM to do. 4/5
Not working with Galaxy S3 Neo by anonym Was working completely fine when i had Android Jelly bean on my Galaxy S3 Neo but after update to Kitkat 4.4.4 this app is not able to connect to the ECU inspite of detecting the bluetooth connection and doing several re-attempts to establish a connection. Tried using another samsung phone running Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and was working absolutely fine. I think there is some problem with kitkat 4.4.4 compatiability. Thats why just 2 stars. Mr. Ian, please rectify this!! 2/5
Simply amazing! by anonym As a mechanic that has used the most expensive scan tools on the market, I am blown away with how cheap, simple and reliable this app is. That's of course if you get the right Bluetooth adapter. Mine was 10 bucks ,guess I lucked out. Great work, keep it up! 5/5
Overall good by anonym Overal good, using it with Ford B-Max, but it does not work in background. All values are reset after switching to another application, so its use while driving is quite limited. I would like to measure trip distance, average trip LPK in background, and in foreground use e.g. some navigation. User interface for managing widgets (especially moving) is not very friendly. Change of size of existing widget would be appreciated. BUT - probably all of the issues are solved in PRO version. 4/5
Ui so old by anonym We are now in the age of material design, any chance this could be updated past eclair days? 2/5
2010 Lamborghini Gallardo - no go by anonym I couldn't get the app to work properly for my Gallardo, which was disappointing come track day. I finagled with it since then with no luck. Some of my friends had these on their Vettes so I was excited to try it out. Not sure what the issue is. Could be the OBD sensor because everything worked fine when I hooked it all up to my Escalade, hence 4 stars. Recommended for mainstream production cars. Also using it with LG G2 and Motorola RAZR. 4/5
Not working on nexus 7 by anonym Connects via Bluetooth and works for a few seconds then everything freezes up. Tried all settings to no avail. Maybe not compatible with my kitkat 4.4.4 rooted nexus 7. Dev. Please try to fix, Thanks 2/5
Can't connect to bluetooth OBD. by anonym Previously combined and worked without problems. Now reports an error: not found adapter. Reinstalling did not help. 3/5
Awesomeness by anonym Remember: some cheapo Chinese ELM327 are an older firmware and may not read all cars correctly. I have a crappy one and it could not read my 2002 Escape but it read my 2002 and 2008 Sport Trace. Didn't read my friends Jeep but read my 2013 Focus. Before you complain about the app, make sure your adapter doesn't suck like mine does. The one I lost was bang on and worked on everything. 5/5
Won't recognize adapter by anonym I bought a code reader which connects right away to my phone via Bluetooth but the Tourque app just keeps running through various protocols but won't connect to the device. I have found the device in the Tourque app and selected it. There are no other Bluetooth connections running on the phone. 1/5
