Beautiful, elegant app. Yeah, it has only four buttons per screen but when you hit Home (in Car Mode) it goes to the middle screen so you always know where you are without looking (otherwise, just hit Back). Love the big speedo but. I wish the clock and compass heading were bigger. The altitude is a nice plus for when traveling. I deleted all the speed alerts but at least there's a button for doing that. For those complaining about a lack of a brightness control, just d/l Brightness Level and add it to one of your buttons. I have a paltry supply of data so I don't use it for this (I use Copilot) so I really don't need the location feature. I have tried the other Car/Dock apps and settled on this one. Edit: Oops, the Media Control shortcuts disappeared when I uninstalled Car Home Ultra. No problem. Just install Media Keys. They work better anyway. 5/5

On my Google Nexus w/the latest version of Jelly Bean, it worked well until this last week, where it will just randomly flash on and off without the ability to turn it off, forcing me to hard reboot my phone. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing that, but hopefully it's an easy enough fix. Other than that, its a super useful and great app! 4/5

With this you can create a dashboard of all the apps you need when driving. Eg voice command, take call, music and maps. Nice one! 5/5

This app is absolutely awesome! It is stable, concise, informational, and allows me to be able quickly and safely operate my mobile device via voice and/or short taps while in my vehicle. The onboard speedometer works great and is very accurate. Not too much of a power hog, either. I'll be purchasing the full version. 5/5

Works as advertised but I would love to have high res app icons. They look terrible on the nexus 7!!!!!!!! Also would be nice to have more buttons. Or an option to toggle between 4 app buttons and 6 buttons. 2/5

This app serves as a fine replacement for the standard Google app. Many people after the Ice Cream Sandwich update could no longer use an app to trick the phone into car (renamed "Vehicle") mode. Now all it takes is a cleverly created smart action + this app and you don't lose a minute of your time. 5/5

This is an update to a previous review I wrote. I still like the app overall, but I uninstalled it because it interfered with my handsfree Bluetooth connection to my car. When I received a call, I could answer it via the car's Bluetooth controls, but the audio did not come over the speakers. The same happened if I initiated a call either from the handset or using the car's Bluetooth controls. It didn't matter if Car Dashboard was actively running or not. Tried every app setting I could to get it to work. It would not. Uninstalled the app, and my phone's Bluetooth connection to the car is working like normal. Guess I will live with the default Android Car Dock because no others seems to fit the bill (at least not the free ones). 2/5

Haven't used it yet, but looking through the settings, it'd be nice if the app could make voice typing the default keyboard. 3/5

I gave it 2 stars because it looks like the screen shots. The missing 3 stars are for the following fails. Speed warning at 36 mph on the highway. Showed a contact but couldn't call that contact. Thermometer didn't show data. Limited items for shortcuts. 2/5

Speed warnings are totally wrong. It displays maximum speed of 40 but blinks in red at 35. Some times at 41. Also, you can choose only few shortcuts and not apps for the home screen why? 2/5

I have a Galaxy SIII and the iBolt car mount. I jump in my car and dock into the mount, Car Dashboard pops up with no fuss. I can easily select the apps I want to run. Integration with my car is seamless. I have not experienced any issues with power or Bluetooth as others have noted. When I unplug from the car dock, it exits. If you set up the app right, it works like magic. The only thing holding me back from giving this excellent app 5 stars is that it puts my phone in "car mode" but not "driving mode" which is more an issue with the SIII than the app. So, I agree with upgrading the icons for high res phones but I tend to stay in my podcast or music or map app all the time so its not a big deal. BUT if you could make my SIII go into driving mode then you get 5 stars and $$. 4/5

I had an older version on my old phone. On my new Galaxy S3 it starts & runs fine... but it won't turn off without restarting the phone. Please fix or the delete button will get a work out! 2/5

This app needs update makeover. Not close to the quality of other dashboard/car dock apps. Long press can only add shortcuts, not apps & UI kinda out-dated now. 2/5

Now back button won't exit the app regardless of whether "disable back button" is toggled or not, and as a result car mode doesn?t disable when Dashboard exits. Good as a free app, but there have to be better, simpler alternatives. 3/5

Free, not a trial like all others, works, great for safer driving, and has ability to ad any app. I wish there were 6 buttons instead of 4. I also wish it was possible to disable some/all features (speedometer, altitude...etc) to save more battery and make space for more shortcuts. Thanks for making a free ad supported version for us & PLEASE consider adding 2 buttons and disabling option for features! Thnx~ 4/5
