Decent Enough by anonymWorks well enough but wish the interface were modernized to other Google Apps' standards. Also wish there were the pop up response box like default texting app or Facebook's chat bubbles. 4/5
An update finally! by anonymLove GV, but it seems obsolete, except that the GV app can send and receive SMS over WiFi whereas Hangouts still cannot. But Hangouts dialer can make WiFi calls? What's going on? 4/5

Still a bit better than hangouts. by anonymGreat app for texting. No delay on my Galaxy S2 and S3s. Syncs with Google Voice chrome extention (and google voice inbox). I will probably switch to the Hangouts if/when they get the texts to sync with Google Voice inbox and make it easy to find prior texts/voicemails. 5/5
Wish app would ring on devices by anonymIf someone calls, it only rings on the app with a mobile phone. I wish the app would have the ability to ring on other devices the app is installed on. 4/5

Seems it has a bug by anonymI used to like Google voice but now it seems to have some bug. Sometimes it causes no voice for incoming calls. I have read several forums and many users have experienced the same. So till that issue is resolved 1 star. 1/5
Stopped working by anonymI have been using Google Voice for years. I love being able to get my voicemails through my emails. Out of nowhere it has stopped working. when I go into my voicemail settings it says that my carrier configuration cannot be accepted. Can someone please help? 1/5
Great, but outdated by anonymThe interface needs to look like every other Google app does now. And, there needs to be adjustments made in the preferences column, particularly about receiving texts from New voice mails. 2/5

Great for having a junk phone number ! by anonymWas using this app in Dubai,along with talktone . Worked great when my ex and I would argue all day via txt and voicemail. Google voice is great,but the last thing I need is another # people can call me on. 5/5
google voice by anonymanother one of my favorites I've been using this app a long time. a free phone # for as long as u have a google acct (for life for me) with a voice mail that I can use while im on or off my computer (thats where u can usually find me) or phone! I love this app & I love all things google!! :) 5/5
Need more control from the App by anonymIt would be very helpful if we were able to change which phone numbers receive calls made to my Google voice number from the app. It's a pain to have to remote in to my computer from my phone if I need to change that when I'm out. 4/5
Oh its been replaced! by anonymAt first I liked this app a lot. But it hadn't improved much since 2011 not even sure when it actually came out. Now I see that its been replaced by hangouts for good. Thats totally okay because its become completely impractical. 3/5
Love but.. by anonymthe only thing I don't like and really bugs me is that when somebody texts you one day, the next day when they text you again it creates a completely different thread.... so you have to skip around and search for all the different conversations you had with that person Plus creates wayyyy more threads. another thing is I don't think you should have to verify a real phone number to use Google Voice because what if you're using this app solely as your only phone number? I have had to several times!! 5/5
Kinda Sucks - but better than alternatives by anonymMessages slow to download, choppy in playback, clunky to use. Wish Google would put more effort here. I tell people not to leave voicemail. 2/5
Can't use text messages after last update by anonymFirst of all it looks nothing like the screen shots. It i twice the size listed as Google prefers to make apps too big for android phones. But the biggest problem is that it keeps freezing and needs to be force closed fairly often. Sometimes it freezes the entire phone. I find it odd that Google doesn't take the time to make apps that are compatible with Android products. Over 10 MB and none of it moveable to the SD card. Update: They actually found a way to make it worse. Google sucks. Getting an iPhone. 1/5

Was OK for years now broken by anonymShould have signed up for Google voice years ago. was wasting money on a home phone for years which I never used because of my cellular. I put my Google number on all applications and turn it off so it goes straight to voice mail. Perfect! Now the only spam calls I have to deal with are on my cell phone. EDIT: It doesn't work anymore. I can't receive any texts or calls to my Google voice number even if I use another phone to call or text it. Hasn't worked for over a year now. 2/5
Unreliable, random multi minute delays by anonymSending a text you frequently have time to write a review before voice actually sends anything. No per contact settings. Slow refreshing. Overall poor quality. 2/5
WTH??? by anonymI need some serious assistance with setting up hangouts. ALL of my messages are going out from my Google voice number and even my calls to other people are showing up from GV. Help! 1/5
I use this everyday! by anonymI give my GV phone # out for business because it's local and my cellphone # is not. When I call from my GV # the caller sees a local caller rather than my ?long distance" one. Looking forward to the merger (eventually?) of hangouts and GV so I won't have to switch apps when I send texts from my phone numbers. I guess MMS would be cool but I have unlimited with my carrier so... I don't care enough to downrate this FREE app and service and whine like a child about it! Thanks for the service, Google. 5/5
Absolutely the best Internet phone service ever by anonymPlease don't replace this with that hangouts crap. I can't stand it it's the most user unfriendly thing I've ever seen. I like sticking with a winner so please keep this one around. Hangouts lags it wants to do too many things that's what I like about this one a button or two and you're done you don't spend several minutes telling hangouts that you don't want to hang out. Keep it up man we all love it. Y'all have a good one. 5/5
Still keep GV installed to used Hangouts by anonymJust found out that I need to keep my beloved GV app installed if I want to continue using the native phone dialer as an option that pops up every time I make a call. Vs. Going into Hangouts' green dialer. 4/5
What happened to blocking? by anonymI literally downloaded this to keep my number the same while blocking another number. The number is suppose to hear that my number is no longer in service hopefully deterring the caller from calling any longer. So what happened. There isn't even a reject option! 1/5

Hangouts is missing one feature by anonymI still need to use the Google Voice app when I want to make a call from my GV number using cellular voice. Hangouts can't do that. Sometimes data service isn't strong enough for a voice call. 4/5

Slooooow by anonymReally heats up device and causes it to run poorly. My phone cleaner apps are constantly advising me to shut this program down to improve phone performance! But still useful to have that second (local) number to give out after moving from here from out of state several years ago. 2/5
Separate ringer tone by anonymHow do you set a separate ringer tone for voice calls? It only lets me get a different text tone. Once it has that feature it will be a 5 star! 4/5

Awesome, needs work by anonymFirst off, this app is not fully integrated into hangouts. Only partially. If you uninstall google voice, when you make a call from your phones dialer it will show your caller ID as your mobile number instead of Google voice. This is because there is no option in hangouts to make all calls using Google voice, as there is in the google voice app. This app is still needed to use your carrier's network and show google voice number as the caller ID. 5/5
R.I.P. Google Voice by anonymUnless another review says different, Google Voice is done now. Once you upgrade Hangouts and get the "Hangouts Dialer" app from Google, the Google Voice app is no longer needed. Plus, now Google Voice is VOIP! WiFi or Unlimited Data, now you don't have to use minutes against your plan. WIN! 5/5
No way by anonymAfter dealing with them for the last 5yrs. Google voice deleted my account an number because i sent a multi message. They refuse to unlock it. I didn't do anything wrong. When you unlock I'll rate 5. . UNTIL THEN NOWAY!!!! 1/5
