It auto dims my screen so I can't see anything. There is no option in the settings that let's me change this. It's infuriating. 1/5

I do like the app, because I can go back & forth between reading & listening to Audible. It is not hard to use but the controls could be a little better. My biggest complaint is if I have been reading at night and have it set at low light, then I open during the day and it's very bright where I am, it is nearly imposible to adjust my brightness because I can't see anything on the screeen. Another issue is when I open it, about 50% of the time I have to close then re-open or wait forever for it to open. 4/5

I use this app more than any other that I have. Every time I think it can't get better they add some awesome feature. It has replaced all of my other e-reader apps. It syncs between my devices with ease 5/5

After the recent update I was unable to read anything, text wasn't displaying properly. I fixed the issue by going to settings and choosing another font, problem solved! Love the app, probably my favorite app for my tablet.Running on nexus 7 2012 version 4/5

I love my Kindle Fire and my Kindle apps, it makes it so convenient that I can sync my books, start reading on one app and pick up on another if I want to. Also downloading books is easy, all I have to do is access Wi-Fi and I have my books wherever and whenever I need them! 5/5

I use it mostly for this magazine that is hard to anywhere else. For those who don't know it the stuff you get is stored on the site and you can usually go there to redownload it and its usually stored on your device too if you want it in physical form you could probably find it on you device and open it on your computer with a converting program of some kind. Google it to find out how and to get a program and other info to help you out. Then from there print it out. 4/5

Really dislike immersive full-screen mode. Please, return front touch buttons, don't hide them. I don't like tap the screen twice. I like the home button to be available 24/7. And it looks medieval. 1/5

If I have paid for these ebooks why don't I own them? If they can be lost or withdrawn (which recently happened to me but was rapidly and generously solved for me - big thanks and a couple more stars) who actually owns the books? A paper book on my bookshelf cannot be lost (except by me, of course) or taken from me. I own my paper book. So why aren't these books readable without the Kindle reader. Why can't the books be stored in, say, PDF where I simply open and read? It's like games on Steam: you pay but you don't own. This should stop. But I recognise that it never will. Not whilst my money is going out of my wallet into theirs. Oh well. Yes, I could just not buy, of course, but how else do I take 50-odd books on to a plane? 3/5

For such a big name as Kindle, the app was horrible & didn't look much like a modern app at all.The Kindle Store looked like an old website with those blue underlined hyperlinks.The search facility doesn't allow me to sort the search results by popularity AND THEN by price (I usually first search for popular books that are free).The app could have separated free books from the rest.The reader is just as good as any reader I know,but going through that whole browsing process just made me hate the whole app 1/5

v2.0 Nice reader with dictionary like the Kindle device. No text to speech, and no sharing of text from the book. Media that can be accessed by an Apple device is not available for Android Kindle - which feels weird since Amazon has Audible for Android. \ v3.8.0 Still good. Not much change for English users. I still want the media that is accessible to iOS but not on Android. \ v4.4 I like the support for comics and magazines. \ v4.9 Having audio book support is nice. Buying audio upgrades is easy. 4/5

The latest update is stuck on such a low brightness setting it is difficult to read on a train or without very bright light. You can't adjust it as you can with the paper white. It also does not seem to sync to last place read. Definite deterioration. 3/5

I actually love this app have more books than I need on it. Before last update it was opening and actually loading the app and books that was the problem. Now it doesn't sync across all device's. So basically if I want to actually continue reading where I left off I have to stay on the same device and that sucks. Please fix this!!!! 1-22-15 all of a sudden it has stopped working. Won't load at all, closes all by itself. Please fix ASAP!!!! 3/5

Even some older books are now becoming available, not just the new ones. I love the instant access dictionary (just highlight the word), and the ability to synch books across devices. Glitches I've noticed: the app may take long to open if not connected to a network (infrequent, but has happened a few times), and repeated notifications of an already downloaded book being 'just downloaded'. Sloppy editing by some publishers is not a glitch, but more frequent than I've encountered in print publications. 4/5

I saw some complaints about brightness. They clearly don't know this is adjustable. I use the sepia setting and system brightness and it's perfect. Thought I'd never use this app, that I'd only use the Kindle, but rarely use that now, only for airplane trips where the battery might be an issue. 5/5
