Wish all the gauges worked. by anonymSome gauges don't work on Mk6 Jetta will not read boost pressure... please fix 3/5
Easy To Set Up, Wonderful To Use by anonymI received my Bluetooth OBDII transmitter very quickly, hooked it into my truck (2000 Chevy Silverado LT) and imediately started recieving readings on everything I would ever need. This app is amazing and works flawlessly on my Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE 5/5
Ok, but with a serious flaw by anonymWhen you enter past services, the app doesn't save the date you entered. It just puts today's date in the field, even if you hit save. This is super inconvenient. 3/5
Units by anonymNeed a UK friendly Celsius and MPH option please. Be better with an option to auto and off Bluetooth. 5/5
Obd 1 compatibility by anonymNot everybody has a 97 and newer vehicle! I am an eco-modder who modifies cars for better fuel economy! My 94 civic gets mileage being boasted by new car dealers but I refuse to buy a new car when the technology existed years ago to achieve 40mpg! I need this tech! Thank you for reading! 1/5
Dont work by anonymI pair it fine but after that it just sits there saying "quarying PID (set 1)" goes no further past that. 2/5
Gauges don't display correctly by anonymI love the app, but on my samsung s3, the gauges display anything, unless I max out the number of gauges and switch to landscape view, then I get a rectangular digital Display that shows numbers. On my samsung tab 3 (7 inch) it shows gauges only but no numbers. The ones that have numbers show a random single digit outside of the gauge image. If I could upload a picture I would. 2/5
Doesn't work by anonymConstantly crashes and refuses to work with/recognise my car. Will update when support request is received. HTC One Android 4.3 1/5
Useless on a Samsung Galaxy S4 by anonymWorked fine on an S3, it may be an issue with 4.2, but communication is buggy and stops after 30 seconds of data. 2/5
Great, but needs more ... by anonym... Works well but needs options to just log instead if constantly downloading maps as this drains the battery more than other apps. Like that it syncs my history. Perfect to log runs etc when i don't have my garmin watch with me. 4/5
Embarrassing by anonymGarmin, get yourself together. This app is slow, kludgy, difficult to use and inconsistent. It's an embarrassment to the craft of software development. You can, and should, do better. 2/5
Abandoned by anonymThe Dev has clearly sacked this off, they don't answer emails, ui is pretty poor, you have to buy at £60 adapter to make it work, don't bother, just down load torque it does way more and the ui is excellent with many skins that match many popular cars, and THE DEV ANSWERS YOUR EMAILS!! 2/5
Buggy, No support by anonymWhen editing an old record, app forces you to change odometer reading of a past event. When entering historical service records, app refuses to accept any date other than the current date. Sent e-mail to developers, and they ignored me. Uninstalling and buying aCar. 1/5
A big disappointment by anonymThis app was one of the reasons I got an Android phone and it's only thanks to other apps that I don't regret it now. This app has so much potential to be a very useful tool, but the poor quality and botched functionality make it almost unusable. To be a bit more specific, I'll list some of the problems that I am experiencing: - No multi-tasking. You phone rings and Garmin Mechanic stops recording your trip. You have to come back to the app, reconnect with the module and start recording again. This should be a service running in the background, recording every trip quietly and without fuss. - Every second of the "stopped" trip time, is recorded and 3-5 seconds, which means that when driving around the city you very often end up with the "stopped time" longer than "total time", which means your "moving time" is negative and therefore set to 0. That brakes all the average trip statistics and makes it completely useless. - The pairing prompt pops up every time the app connects to the module. It still works without pairing but it's just annoying. Pleas Garmin, fix it and make it the bast smartphone addition for a car. Also opening the protocol to 3rd party devs would be nice. 1/5
Great app, but battery killer by anonymI really like this app. The ecoroute plays nice with my rezound and it provides exactly the functionality I was looking for. However, I forgot to properly exit the app one day, exited the car, the phone in pocket, and went inside for a nap. Battery went from full to 20% just like that in roughly 4 hours. Normally, 4 hours of idle drain is maybe 10-15%, NOT nearly 80%. Some better power management is sorely needed. 3/5
HD Device, My Mechanic App, and the GPS by anonymI bought the HD device, quickly installed it, and paired it to both my new GPS (Nuvi) and my Android phone. That didn't work. Seems that the HD can communicate to either, but not both. Since moving from the GPS screen of ecoRoute data and directions is not easy, I choose pairing to my smartphone. But I have the smartphone paired to the GPS to use its speakerphone capability. I'm not sure that my new Razr can pair and be connected to the GPS and to the HD at the same time. Garmin doesn't think so. I've emailed Motorola. It works sometimes, but drops the pairing more often than not. (It also seems that the HD went up recently 50% in price.) 2/5
Constant crashes wrong mpg by anonymAfter this app crashes a few times just to start it, the mpg is so far off that it's comical. It either shows me 4.5 mpg or 45000.00 mpg and never gets it right. My real avg mpg is around 30. Turns out to be a common issue and sadly this is the main reason I got it. For realtime mpg. Using a brand new sgs4 and exact same issues with my acer a100 tablet. 1/5
Has Potential by anonymI have used a spreadsheet to track all of my fuel cost and economy data for my truck since 2009. I downloaded this app because I was looking forward to having a mobile version on my tablet/phone. Interface and options look good, but there is one critical flaw; I can't save old data. When I input a fuel purchase with a date from 2009 it saves it with the current date, so in the end every purchase prior to today would save with the same date. I will stick with a spreadsheet. There are enough apps that will allow me to use one on my tablet. 2/5
Great by anonym:-) 5/5
Great app by anonymWorks great with my Note 3, I really like the new graphs. 5/5
Export trips log? by anonymOk, most of the priblems are gone after last update which is good. Where is the option Export Trip History? 3/5
Revised Update 14/03/31 - The gauges work now - thanks. by anonymJust downloaded and tried the latest version. The gauge font problem has finally been corrected on my Galaxy S3. Gauges are working again. Additionally, I like the extra ability that automatically closes the bluetooth pairing code window instead of having to press cancel each time it pairs. Thanks. Upgraded rating from 1* to 4* (would have gotten 5* if it didn't take 6 months to fix). ============================================================= (1* rating original post 14/02/28) Loved it for a year with my S3. Upgraded droid last sept 13 and gauges messed up. Crazy complaints all over the place on gauges going bad. Glad to finally discover garmin doesn't support current android OS' s or current android phones. Wonder if it'll even launch on S5? Loyal customer lost. 3 portable garmin gps and eco-route are the end for me. 4/5
Doesn't connect automatically by anonymHas done great features but won't connect to the ecoroute HD automatically. You need to enter 0000 every time. Get that fixed and it'll be worth using 3/5
by anonymJust started 3/5
Asks for pairing code everytime by anonymApp is useful but its not well designed. My garmin module is paired, so why does it ask the pairing code everytime I start the app?? If you ignore it, it still goes ahead and connects so it defeats the purpose of pairing. 3/5
by anonymGetting there. Can you please add data imports matching the exports? 3/5
Works well by anonymPaired well with my Vauxhall Astra. Saved me some gas money on long trips. 5/5
Garmin by anonymIT WORKS GREAT WHEN YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW FAST YOUR KIDS ARE DRIVING... 5/5
Not with Nexus 5 lollipop by anonymWas OK but after lollipop update gauges are useless. 2/5
Improving! by anonymThe date picker has been fixed. Will add more stars if everything else works properly, will deduct if not. 3/5
Ok by anonymIts ok but it needs to tell you what exit and what streets you need to take.. Not just turn left in 500 feet it gets confusing especially in a big city like columbus. Plez fix. 3/5
Great App by anonymGreat for general info from car. Esp. Fuel economy and checking speedo is correct. Worth the money for the EcoRoute HD* update gauges stopped working now cant even get rpm? Dont know but will this app be updated a bit of a ripp if no updates to fix bugs. 3/5
Skidpad by anonymThe one feature I have been looking for us the skidpad. The fact you can also monitor obd albeit with the Garmin module it is still an awesome app 4/5
Samsung Tab 3 7.0 inch by anonymI really like the app and I have the eco-route module. The reason for the 2 stars is that it doesn't stay connected with the module and I have to reconnect it every 45 or so minutes and sometimes even more often. I plan on calling customer service as well today. I'm using the app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you. Also why doesn't the smartphone link work on a tab? 3/5
This app and device is a joke! by anonymThe device refuses to stay connected to my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition or my Note 3. And I can see that the device does not store any info in an onboard buffer zone for just in case it does disconnect scenario. Very disappointed in this. I had such high hopes for it. Hey Garmin, please fix this thing. $100 paper weight is not cool. 1/5
Pretty good by anonymPretty good app overall. Only thing I would like to see is to mirror the screen so that when I use my galaxy tab s I can put it up as a HUD! That'd be freaking sweet 4/5
Useless by anonymThe app makes me connect multiple times while I'm trying to use it, and drops connection randomly. Sometimes I have to reset the unit. And more annoyingly the gauges hardly ever work, for example the boost pressure gauge picks a random figure and freezes with it. I know it's not a problem with the car bacause when we plug my friends torque diagnostic tool in it gives us the boost figure perfectly in real time. The ecoRoute HD was a complete waste of my money. 1/5
Cool app. by anonymDiagnostic sesions can be ecpensive but now this app has been updated thats not a problem any more .... I have the eco device in my jeep and i use it all the time... it helps me to drive better... by using the graph data on a long run I can manage 32mpg (very well pleased). My jeep has 3lt. Diesel crd engine. 5 stars well deserved. 5/5
Very Buggy Still by anonymGreat potential, but I have problems paring nearly every time it launches. Have to force close the app and re-open it many times to get it to connect properly. Must do this every time you use it, or once it disconnects and the app closes it will not reconnect.. Putting any graph into full screen mode allows the screen to turn off despite the setting of keep the screen on being enabled. Option to measure 0-30/0-60 time appears to be missing, 1/4 and 1/2 mile are there however. Skid pad app doesn't correctly differentiate between acceleration / braking G force and lateral G forces in turns, so you cannot leave it running and check it after, someone must be watching it during the turn to figure out what your max lateral G force is. 3/5
Buggy on HTC One M8 by anonymRequests pairing every time on the HTC One M8 (Stock), also freezes after a few seconds after finally connecting making it effectively unusable. It works fine on the Samsung Galaxy Note, but that is no longer my daily-driver phone. Would be five stars if it worked as well on the M8 as it does on the Note. 2/5
