Latest update horrible by anonym The most recent update has changed the ui for the worse. Strange swiping for extra features and losing the top bar as you scroll down. The timeline jumps about which is really annoying and the white flashing light is distracting. And don't get me started on the pop up ads. Its much less friendly and seems to be using way more battery than before. 2/5
Scroll??? by anonym Every time there is a update the scroll is affected. The timeline randomly scrolls past your original spot and its aggravating. Please fix 2/5
Had to make a change... by anonym Now it constantly loses my position in the timeline when opening the app. It starts way down the list. Even after getting back to the top of the list, if I do a refresh it will kick me back down. Latest update does not solve problem. 1/5
Better before. .. by anonym Compose button sits right where you scroll and covers tweets as well as causing accidental composing. And if you have more than one account, the appearance of the three dots at the top right of the toolbar for switching accounts turns "Timeline with mentions" into "Timeline with mentio..." and well, it looks a bit rubbish... 3/5
APK by anonym Went back to previous version. Could not take any more full screen ads. 5/5
Update sux by anonym Always crashing, worst update ever. Might go with someone else. Who gets paid money to ruin a good app? Plume pays people apparently. 1/5
Rubbish by anonym These ads that take over the whole screen are annoying, but that bloody button right where i scroll means I'm trying to scroll but end up typing a new tweet. Had to uninstall. 1/5
More adverts please by anonym Half the time I can't dismiss the bloody adverts cos the button is under the notification bar or it's about 3px wide. Also if I so much as blink, another full screen advert appears 1/5
A backward step by anonym Have used this for years but the new update is awful. Can't get rid of the full page ads as the cross is covered by my notification icons. 2/5
New problems on Nexus by anonym Used to work perfectly, now jumps times frequently, resetting time line. Can open it up after 15 mins and time line has jumped back 15 hours. Always says more 'new' items than there is. 3/5
Terrible update. by anonym Used plume for years. Newest update has left it unusable. Sad, but left with no choice but to uninstall. 1/5
Pop up full screen ads again by anonym You did this once before and you lost thousands of people, then you removed them and they came back. Why would you add full screen pop ups again? Not using this until they are removed once again. Taking less than 10 seconds before I get a pop up ad the only way to get rid of it is to hit back and that exits plume! Seriously this is stupid. 1/5
Was great! by anonym Uninstalled following recent update where adds are now extremely intrusive and make the app almost unusable!! Shame as app used to be the best on the play store! :-( 1/5
I used to love this app... by anonym I used to love Plume. As a minimalist desktop advocate, Plume's widget was one of few exceptions to grace my phone. I used it dozens of times daily, but since the 6.0 update, it's been buggy. Timelines jump all over the place, ads are becoming more and more intrusive and annoying, worst of all is the battery drain. Oh, god, the battery drain. Even with the auto refresh set to a conservative 2hrs, Plume's currently at 40% battery drain on my phone. Alas, currently searching for an alternative. 3/5
Update is terrible by anonym Been using Plume for a long time but this new update is a step backwards. They "fixed" something that wasn't broken and now I have the pleasure of having my feed jump back when I enter the app... It jumped back THREE DAYS this morning...in fact I just changed it to 1 star until this is fixed, the jumping back is beyond annoying... And when it doesn't do this the counter of unread tweets is usually wrong. 1/5
by anonym I've updated this review following the release of 6.01. This update allows the top bar to be fixed in place rather than disappearing on scrolling. This is a considerable improvement, although unlike the 5.x version one can only see one of the tweet counts for new tweets, mentions or DMs rather than all at once, which I find less than ideal. There's still a floating compose button rather than it being placed on the top bar, and I've never liked such floating buttons; they obscure content and it feels more natural to seek out a control at the top, where the action bar buttons would be placed. The "swipe to reveal options" bug seems to have gone, but my timeline still jumps back on opening the app or refreshing. If this bug is addressed (which I expect it will be soon) then it will be almost as good as it was before Material Design, and that was very good indeed. 3/5
Awful, constant intrusive ads by anonym This used to be a great app but now you get full screen ads literally every 30 seconds which you cant close. So i exit and reopen the app to clear the ad and it messes up my timeline. Such a shame that a great app has been ruined by greed. Uninstalling. 1/5
Bruh! by anonym This new update is trash! Muted people keep popping up on my tl. Fix it! 1/5
Latest update and popups make Plume virtually unuseable by anonym Since the latest update, Plume, which apart from one previous intrusive, screen-freezing advert, was great, has become frustrating and slow. It seems to take much longer to load and adverts, sometimes whole screen and mainly advertising Google stuff I now won't use even if it looks appealing, pop up so frequently, freezing the app, that I would not recommend downloading the app until there's an announcement that Plume will stop this unacceptable behaviour. 1/5
Now its working great new design is also good by anonym Thanks 5/5
Very confusing!!! by anonym The new update is so confusing. And where's the move to top option that was there before? The material design looks good but lacks polish 2/5
Its cool and all but... by anonym I have been irritated by this for the longest (maybe over a year or so), but majority of the time I see something I like or when I back out of something the page refreshes of its own and go back to the top without my command. It would be nice if the auto refreshing could be turned off. 3/5
Ad frenzy by anonym I endorse a lot of the previous comments, this used to be a great app with unobtrusive ads. The fullscreen ads every 30 seconds or so make the app pretty much unusable. I guess it's back to the standard Twitter client for me then. 1/5
New update is a disaster by anonym Really regret clicking on that button to update plume which was working well, now is very glitchy, and keeps interrupting me with full page Google ads in a disruptive manner. Paid version costs more than you would expect for a basic twitter client. The ad supported version needs to be useable 2/5
Update turnoff by anonym Been using this app for longtime the material design update is a disaster!! Before update perfect twitter client, now horrible design buggy as hell, timeline jumps allover the place, using paid version, but have started looking at other clients, really disappointing ? 2/5
The app is good but... by anonym The app is good but the notification sound on mentions and replys doesn't work. The mention number also doesn't work at all. So why I will have this app if the important things didn't work? I pay for the premium one and is to bad that I can have a refund. I'll will sit and wait for updates. Just in case I have a Cyanogen Oneplus One. 3/5
Okay, better but.. by anonym So every time I open a pic, the app crashes. Incredibly annoying. Still don't get notifications ? 2/5
Looking for a new twitter client by anonym Used plume for ages, loved it. Since the last update it's ads every 3 tweets. I can't scroll through my feed without seeing a full screen ad atleast twice. Compose button is in a daft place, so simply scrolling can compose a new tweet. To the devs; congrats you killed your app. 1/5
Nice app... However.. by anonym New version and UI very confusing to say the least. Hard to get used to and seems to take double the time to do what I did previously. And what's with the annoying flashing white strobe light when looking at a particular thread? It's horrible! 2/5
Tweetmarker broken and timeout all the time! Update sucks! by anonym The material design update sucks and lack polish! Keeps getting notifications from existing direct messages. Extremely frustrating that Tweetmarker is broken and timeout all the time not syncing my positions. 1/5
The new update sucks by anonym The mention notifications are super slow. I will see that someone mentioned me in my regular timeline way before I get a notification about it. And whenever I refresh my timeline and get new tweets, instead of keeping my current position, it sends me back to tweets from way back when and then I have to scroll thru a bunch of old tweets before I can get to the new ones. The tweet counter is horrible; it says i have an outrageous number of unread tweets when I don't. I don't like this new UI at all 2/5
Follower requests? by anonym There is no section to accept or deny follower requests. Also tweets show from wrong people 1/5
Update has ruined it by anonym Ultimately this is a free app and money needs to be made somewhere but the intrusive ads that take up the full screen are far too frequent. I've often found the ads don't even load properly so the X to close them doesn't appear. Didn't care for the new design at first but that's not too bad just would be nice to see it and not a Google ad 1/5
Ruined app! by anonym This was a great app, before the latest update. Now the pop up ads every 15 or so seconds, have ruined it. And I begrudge paying £3+ just to get rid of pop ups. 4.1 Another update, back to the pop up ads! 1/5
New update by anonym Any chance of a few more ads. I don't feel that one ad every 3 seconds is enough. 2/5
New UI is a step backwards by anonym I don't like the new material design. The pencil icon is in the way. I don't like it. Give us an option to to back to the old interface under Look & Feel. 2/5
by anonym Ads are killing it. Latest update adds to the ads 1/5
Constant full screen ads by anonym Used to be good, now basically unusable. 1/5
Update is annoying by anonym The compose button gets in the way and I have accidentally sent tweets of "m" three times already. The refresh button jumps back months in my replies and dms and tells me I have 174 new replies when I don't. Really, really buggy update. 3/5
Ads are dreadful by anonym I used to really like this app, but the last update flashes full screen ads all the time, which makes it impossible to read my timeline easily. I understand the need for ads, but not like this. 3/5
