Good but....... by anonym Very good app but seems to drop connection every so often during video and have to reconnect to finish video would be a 5 star otherwise 4/5
Great app. by anonym Been using it to control playback on my Xbox 360 now that it supports DLNA in it's current beta. Love this Twonky and would gladly pay for it if it wasn't already free. 5/5
Does not stream to PS3 by anonym Wanted a UPNP media serve hat would work with Sony PS3. This one doesn't. 1/5
Close to AirPlay but not quite by anonym This is the only app I could find that's able to stream music over Wi-Fi from my Samsung Galaxy S3 to a Panasonic mini HiFi (SC-HC7DB). Unfortunately the music 'clips' a lot while playing. I would be happy to pay for a version of this app if it could set a buffer time to increase play quality. 3/5
Loading forever by anonym Zero stars, good at loading not playing... 1/5
Awesome app by anonym Well organized and easy to navigate. Only wish it would play xvids. 4/5
So much better than twonky beam by anonym Twonky beam just a Web app and bloated. This is very simple and clutter free... But sound choppy playing from nexus 7 over airplay.. 2/5
Doesn't work. by anonym I sent a report. Doesn't work on Bionic. 1/5
Xbox Access denied by anonym For a while i couldnt even get my xbox to find my twonky mobile server, now it can see it after throwing my router into dmz but when i select the server it says access denied. Contact me for help twonky team or will curse your families for generations! 1/5
The new update messed it up! by anonym The latest update of twonky messed it up. I can no longer see my network media drive. Instead shows Windows Media Connect for the drive, however when selected shows no media file. I am no longer able play music from my network to airport express 1/5
Re-reviewed by anonym No longer works. I would stream a lot videos I had stored on my Xoom to my and my friends PS3's. None of which can find the twonky server now. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling even totally restoring the Xoom....Don't think I'm doing anything wrong I've literally streamed hundreds of movies. Uninstalled out of frustration. BTW I purchased the full version... 1/5
Galaxy Note by anonym I'm running ICS and rooted. Not sure if that's the issue. But the app is unable to locate my videos or music. 1/5
UI sucks by anonym Never understood how to show pictures It allways said adding to queue. But how to start show the queue? . It doesn't saves thumbnails pictures so it take ages to get up all pictures. No => uninstalling 1/5
Battery drain by anonym Upgraded to Jelly Bean on sgs3. Installed twonky and my battery drains very quickly. Took it off charge @ 100% thismorning. 1 hour later only 88% remains. All I've done is write this. App was installed on its own, days apart from any other app. No app installed since. Removing to confirm it is twonky. 2/5
Playback by anonym Has the potential to amazing but as soon as my phone sleeps playback stops... May overall be a minor glitch but ruins experience and quickly frustrating 1/5
Fantastic!!!! by anonym This app is much better than any of the payed apps such as doubletwist. The app is well designed easy to use abduction moat importantly, very quick to play media on the apple tv. 5/5
Aweful by anonym While playing .avi films from my Samsung s3 to my playstation 3! Every 2/3 minutues the film freezes etc but plays perfect on my phone. Don't waste your time with this!! 1/5
Does not run by anonym Twonky mobile hangs on the opening screen. Twonky beam works fine though 1/5
Great app. by anonym Works well with airport express but does not like people moving around though while at work.Great partying tool. 4/5
galaxy s3 to airport express gets disconnected by anonym Good app to connect to airport express directly from mobile but disconnects when phone locked. Max time I can keep phone unlocked is fifteen min. Wish there is a fix. My WiFi is on even on phone lock 3/5
Galaxy note 2 by anonym M3u playlists wont read stuck on 'loading' no search function no music folder view support. Apart from that good . Look at bubbleupnp for ui design and simplicity 3/5
The best for xbox by anonym Using the share function and beam YouTube videos right to your box. Hands down best app on market 5/5
Better than Twonky beam by anonym I still think that this app is way better than the newer one. For some reason, the other one frequently was failing in finding the TV on the network. 5/5
Stops when the phone is idle by anonym Streaming movies to apletv is resourse consuming. In order to avoid stoping streaming from a networkserver to apletv one must touch the phone to cheep it active. Samsung note 2/5
Good, but has room for improvement. by anonym It plays very well with my DLNA and Airplay devices. However, it has an UI that is quite ugly and unintuitive. Update. No longer works. Crashes 1/5
What a shame! by anonym Twonky not supported anymore?? Why?! The Beam crap version is a shame; not finding local Airport Express devices! Pls concentrate on ONE app and make it usable 1/5
Sadly disappointing:o( by anonym This looked like the perfect app for streaming to airport express and apple TV. Unfortunately it only occasionally detects either of those devices and when it does the playback is badly broken up. Shame, I will check back for updates but as it stands this player is no use to me. 1/5
Wouldn't sync by anonym Play works well but refused to find home server for syncs. It's a twonky server! Prefer bubble upnp and es file exolorer. 2/5
Youtube not working... by anonym This app was great but youtube has stopped working. There is no longer a beam button (Samsung nexus on jelly bean) Plus we need a way to keep the app streaming while still using other apps on the phone. 2/5
Un-Usable! by anonym It will no longer accept/play any of my videos. It worked for a while then since it updated, any video file says it isn't supported.. 1/5
stopped working by anonym MME type not supported again since last update. Why do the devs update a worse product? Does no one provide quality anymore? 1/5
Keeps crashing by anonym Galaxy Nexus. Stops working when screen sleeps, crashes when closing other apps, crashes when switching between apps, save list keeps having errors. 1/5
Winston Churchill rated it best: by anonym Twonky is the worst DLNA solution available, except all the other ones that I've tried. It's a bit glitchy, constantly loses the connection to my Twonky-based DLNA server (making me reconnect and re-browse through the directories), and overall just makes me frustrated because it's actually a great product and does amazing things, but just can't quite make the leap from great to fantastic. I want to love Twonky. It connects easily to all my media sources and players and adds necessary functionality that many of them don't have. It runs my TV and plays music all over the house, and it does it brilliantly 90% of the time. It has literally brought a smile to my face on more than one occasion, for how much better it is than my previous solution. But that other 10% is a world of pain, made worse because I know that if it would work properly all the time it would be a phenomenal product. 4/5
Good dlna server by anonym If all you want is a dlna server this app does the job. It gets 3 stars because it doesn't detect the native android playlists for audio so you have to create playlist files and copy them to your device. Every time the app launches it has to scan for media which can take quite a while before the app is ready; it should just read from the media cache generated from the android media services. To make matters worse, once the app is running, it has to rescan for media when you start navigating. Out of space to 3/5
Garbage by anonym Twonky is wonky. Sometimes fails to see AirPort at all. When it does see it, it sends clicks and clucks to the AirPlay. Once, it worked for a minute or two then suddenly stopped. Don't waste your time with this App. Why can't someone write a good Android -> AirPlay app? None of them seem to work at all ... Rooted Samsung Charge. 1/5
Rumbuck by anonym This program was terrible. I go to wifi tethering and tether my phone to the xbox, abd the program says I don't even have a network. It says my wifi isn't turned on. So instead you try and set up an ad hoc, same problem, no recognised network. This program is terrible, I'm not going to go out and spend more money on a wireless hub that intriduces MORE lag on the chance that this program MIGHT work. Terrible showing guys, come to the table witb something that works, or don't come at all. 1/5
Streams and Copy to PS3 Flawlessly by anonym Anyone using a ps3 to watch movies will love this. I use pirate bay and ttorrent to download movies to my phone, then astro file manager to copy it to folders, then twonky to stream to my ps3 media server and boom! HD movies from nexus to HDTV with no cords or attachments. Note, be sure to get twonky beam ( needs this to recognize the files for some reason) Works well on any network with a wide range of devices. 9/10 twonky, well done 5/5
You simply must have this app! by anonym I am very impresssed with this app! I'm new to the android community and trying everything Google Play has to offer, and I stumbled on this App. it caught my eye because I have access to several devices ranging from AirPort Express to Xbox 360, and I needed a solution that would work for all of them. It's worked flawlessly for everything so far, streaming both Video's and Music. 5/5
Annoying by anonym Pile of c##p when it doesn't crash it behaves badly. e.g. while sorting through tracks and adding to a playlist if you accidentally click on a track name it deletes the playlist and creates a new one with that single track - no are you're sure no nothing. 1/5
Perfect by anonym It's exactly what I wanted. It works perfectly with Apple tv and even YouTube content which I really want. I don't have a lot of local videos so it's amazing to have. 5/5
