The app is compatible with most Android devices running on.

Disappointment by anonym Great (except automatically closing sometimes) on Samsung Victory 4G (LTE), but can't answer calls on LG Optimus F3 (also LTE, same network) with 3G, 4G, or wifi. 2/5
Great by anonym Generally works very well. I've had some instances of calls not hanging up (have to kill the app) and some incoming calls that don't answer, but these are few and far between. One thing I wish this had is an Android 4.4 style dialer. 4/5
Tons of options by anonym I like how many options it exposes so i have the power to control lots of settings. There are couple of things i would like it to improve: 1. Ability to control Texts. An option to disable texts would be very welcome. Lots of us are using Google Voice with call forwarding to google chat. So if a user just want to chat in google, all those are forwarded to CSipSimple. 2. Better UI around contacts. It's a little confusing as it is (txt = contacts). I would sure hope to see some rethinking wrt to this part of the UI. 4/5
Good app. Bad battery drain by anonym The app works well, but it randomly starts draining battery like mad. Hundreds of wakelocks daily. I wish it was better. 3/5
Great App by anonym My only complaint is that it doesn't allow you to maintain a contact list separate from Android. Its not a big issue but it's a bit of an annoyance. Otherwise, perfect app! 4/5
Messes up my phone by anonym Update. It messes up my samsung s3 and when using it for sip calls it uses the phones and pops up that i get incomming call. I dont want it interfare it is unusable this way. Down to 3 stares. Befor it was 5 stars for the tablet.. Since the last update it is exelent, Igive it now a 5 stars. Only one thing is missing, the noice filtering, the other side still hears background noices also when it is on my side non. I could not find noice filtering in the settings. 3/5
best and simple to use by anonym Update: 10/14/2013: Updated to the latest version. Got to see few bugs persistent bugs from previous version. Then I uninstalled, rebooted the phone and reinstalled the app again. This time the earlier issues that I were seeing were gone and the app is working just fine. Updated the rating to 5 stars. ----------------- Earlier I used 3CX Phone on my iPhone 4 and when I switched to Android, I started using the 3CX. But later, I found this and started using this since then. I liked this app for its simplicity and the level of configuration that you can set as an advanced user. I am not sure how many other best voip/sip clients are present for Android, but this for sure is excellent. One thing I liked is its integration with stock dialer on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and the rules that help you to automatically switch to the correct dialer (native/stock versus the CSipSimple). I recommend this for all those who are looking for sip client on android. I gave rating 4 starts because, there are few minor bugs and to mention one - not able to go to the existing call in progress. I wish there is a button in the UI to go to the "call in progress" other than the notification bar in the next update. 5/5
Awesome on my Note2 by anonym I had CSiP installed on my LG Thrill and it worked fine with WIFI but not so well on 3G, I recently purchased a Galaxy Note II and the sound quality is just excellent on 3g or 4g. Connected to my Asterisk box. Simple, secure if you want it to be, extremely easy to configure and to use, very flexible configuration, easy to configure auto insertion of voicemail password for automation, to me this is better than the other commercial versions out there. 5/5
Neat softphone for VoIP calls by anonym I liked this app. Back story: for no apparent reason I figured it was time to get a VoIP number. But, being a typical (East) Indian I didn't want to spend money on that. :D So, I googled and found "callcentric". After a few incantations, the daemon called callcentric granted me my wish and gave me a VoIP number. But, the problem was I had never used a VoIP number till then! :D So, I checked with callcentric support and they suggested this app. Configuring the app was a piece of cake. Instructions from Callcentric support also helped. Once the app was setup, I called my callcentric number from my regular mobile ... and this softphone on my tablet started buzzing (but not ringing) right next to me!! How cool is that? :) Please be aware that this app can be set to be "always on", or to be on only in the presence of wifi, or be on only for outgoing calls. The app clearly states that "always on" will drain the battery. Since I don't expect anyone to be calling me much on my callcentric number I have set it to "be on only for outgoing calls". (I also installed codecs that come in a separate app, although I am not sure I needed them.) 5/5
Best sip app by anonym By far the best sip app I have used. Great voice quality, useful features, and free! Only complaint is battery usage. But well worth it. 5/5
Improved review: Okay on Samsung Galaxy Note 8 by anonym Drained HTC Sens4g, but on Note 8 it's okay. Call audio is good, but sometimes choppy to whom I'm calling. Incoming calls work. Wish this was for iPhone; on that Join is the only usable free client with manual setup! Media5fone excels, but has 1 line limit with ads. Pbxes with CsipSimple is free & easy on Android 4.2.2 and WiFi only. I hope the developer keeps it working and ports to iPhone; I'm concerned this nice app gets broken one day or becomes overly nosey with new intrusive permissions. 4/5
So far do not like. by anonym For an average person, I cannot get it to register. They have no phone number or instructions on how to set it up. People are moving these aps so fast that they do not consider your average user! All this technology is suppose to help, but the egg heads don't think it through, but they like your money. Be safe, look around there are more though out aps out there! 1/5
Down from 5 stars by anonym I still love the CQ but it has become the only app on my Note3 that has crashed the phone 4 times in a couple of weeks. And don't think it was running every day - far from it. Regis.. do something pls, the nightly builds suffer from the same problem. /EDIT make that 10+ crashes this month -keep losing stars. ///EDIT Seems to have dropped in frequency (1/last 2 weeks) with nightly 2427 - upping my rating to 4* 4/5
anything but simple by anonym I have worked for several hours over the course of 2 days to get this working with OSTel. I can say at this point (after trying several other SIP apps) that this one is by far the least user friendly. it made setup so difficult and arcane that I had to give up and try again the following day. YES, it did work, but this is not a simple solution and worse yet, trying to get a non-technical user to set this up is truly awful. it does terrible integration in later generation phones (Kit-Kat). 2/5
Great app. Having some art problems. by anonym Can't seem to make calls with art enabled. Can receive calls fine, and once I turn back dalvik runtime everything functions properly. Anyone else? 5/5
Broken with Android 4.3 / CM 10.2 by anonym The application worked great until I updated my system to Cyanogenmod 10.2 (Android 4.3). Now, it apparently conflicts with the internal SIP stack. I can receive calls, but outgoing calls no longer work (and usually crash the app). 2/5
Great for making interoffice calls by anonym Works great for making interoffice calls on our Asterisk freepbx system. Only complaint is that sometimes I can't make the hangup button work... 4/5
Simply The Best by anonym Best app ever. I can't think of a single way that it could be improved in all honesty, except maybe to introduce call blocking/diversion treatments for incoming calls. 4/5
Worked better than most but drained my Batt!!! by anonym So, it did probably the best job, compared to sipdriod (to quiet) and many others i tried, but it drained my batt so much phone went dead before the day was out. This is because i live in a remote area, and because of bad cell coverage, the ph is doing hard work all day, but i hardly make any calls. The native (included) SIP in andriod did not drain like this app! Prob is native one takes so long to connect.... hello? ....hello? hello? r u there? oh, ok :) 3/5
Great Softphone on some phones more than others by anonym I like this softphone, especially because of the dialing rules available so calls can be directed to the line of your choice. I could never get it to work on my T-Mobile Vibrant, but I have since upgraded and all is well... as long as there aren't too many apps running at the time. 4/5
