Htc one m8 crashing by anonym App repeatedly crashed during navigation. Makes the app unusable. 2/5
by anonym It consumes a lot of battery. Very slow - heavy software. 2/5
Adventure perfect by anonym Thank you for such a gorgeous apps for road tripping. Perfect for family's out of town guidance. 5/5
Needs improvements by anonym Needs to have a better UI and smoother loading of maps. Overall, it works as it should. Offline routing is very useful. 4/5
Unstoppable by anonym Nice map and dashboard, not working gpx record / export features. App not killable, always in background using up recourses and memory. 2/5
Doesn't recognise postcodes by anonym Put in a postcode and it just sits there doing nothing. 1/5
by anonym Impossible to import GPX file to the App. "You can put it in OsmAnd home folder: osmand/tracks/(optional_sub-folder)/your_file.gpx" There is no such folder. If I create one app doesn't app still shows "No GPX files found in the tracks folder. " message. 4/5
WTF by anonym in every update something worse happen.. first update screwed the new reroute detection , now I can't add the coordinates to the favorites from the search tab.. unbelievable 1/5
4/5 by anonym Adding a route middle point isn't very convenient (thanks for your last help), also crashes more often recently while searching and zooms out to whole country after finally finding the address. (LG L90, An 4.4) 4/5
Useful offline map by anonym Layout a bit crowded! English names in Taiwan are lost in translation. 3/5
by anonym gets little getting used to, however i'm disappointed seeing that updating an already installed offline map counts as another map download against the restricted number map downloads in the free version 3/5
by anonym I installed on my Galaxy S6 running 5.1.1 but I am unable to download maps. It goes through the download process (which takes a long while) but in the end, nothing was downloaded. None of the maps I downloaded are listed under Local. No maps show in navigation screen. 1/5
Hard to use by anonym I couldn't get it to simply find an address. It's difficult to remove. That's a major problem. 2/5
Gpx files by anonym I want to upload my own gpx file for offline navigation but when I click on the gpx it says there is no gpx files in tracks folder. Where is track folder location? How to upload gpx files for navigation? 1/5
by anonym Wonderful maps and interface. Great for hiking and MTB. Probably for regular navigation to but this is for what I use it. Hundred thousand settings and options helps you to set up this app to your needs. I highly recommend it.. 5/5
by anonym OsmAnd happily downloads map regions but just displays blank tiles if you're actually offline, so defeating the point of offline. Some other reviews appear to say the same. Settings > General > Data Storage shows the correct path of where OsmAnd put the offline files on disk. This is letting OsmAnd use it's default storage location on an internal storage only device (Nexus) running Android 6.0.1. No SDcards involved. App version May 2016. 1/5
Great maps a little hard to navigate some options by anonym Can't share trips and very hard just to rename. The maps are excellent just would be nice to map a trip name it and send it to friends, OK now I can share 4/5
Navigate Custom Route's by anonym This app is awesome! I can make custom maps export them and use this navigation offline for my back roads motorcycle trips. Best offline maps and navigation for USA I've used to date. Thanks for such a great road trip tool. 5/5
Very detailed offline maps by anonym I love the amazing detail in the offline maps. It's like carrying a million maps on my smartphone instead of lugging around an atlas! 5/5
by anonym So, I like it but I'm confused on one thing.. Can I search by a specific house address? And add that address to my favorites? I can only seem to get a general area around the address I want. 4/5
by anonym I appreciate what the developers are trying to do with this app, but the app is difficult to use. The inability to search for a location or even manually enter an address kills the usability of this app. I can see a lot of potential in this app, but it's not what it could be. 1/5
Most buggy update ever by anonym After updating OsmAnd crashes whenever you try almost anything. POI details? Crash. Route details? Crash. Public transport info? Crash. Every time I hit "report" and submit crash logs when OsmAnd prompts (which is far from always). I think those emails go to crash@- but I forgot. 5/5
by anonym If you want to zoom beyond a local area you cannot to it. It only zooms out to a scale of 20k. This places such a restriction for me as to render it unusable. If it only did this it would be a wonderful app. If only that could be fixed. 1/5
by anonym It has plenty of features and the ability to import GPX track which is great for planning a route. But one major disadvantage is that to search for an address you have to select the region first. And the region is basically the map file that the place you're going to is contained in. For example for Germany you have to download 7-8 map files. So when you're searching for a city you have to know in which map file it's included. And this gets annoying when you don't know the country you're visiting. 3/5
Why is this app so difficult to use? by anonym I have to ask, did a blind mentally challenged monkey design this app? I tried setting up the app using all the options, but all I got was more and more confused. Uninstalled...I wish zero stars was an option. ? 1/5
Great concept, complicated controls, laggy interface. by anonym This is probably the best offline maps application once you get its settings right. Big thumbs up for the contours and hillshades plugins (they do help a hiker like me). Thumbs down for a general lagginess. But for all its imperfections it's the best offline maps app out there. Fact! 4/5
Good but little complicated to use by anonym Very good navigation app. Stable and easy to import routes made in googlemaps (on a pc). Sometimes little hard to use, not intuitive. But using it side by side next to other expensive nav apps says enough! 4/5
Zero stars, ridiculously difficult to use by anonym The great concept should result in a superb app. Yet we have here one of the absolutely most horrible user interface experiences. Some of the money donated to the prpject needs to be used to hire a real user interface specialist, and programmers need to do what that person says. Or leave the project. Because this app is floundering for no reason. It has powerful brand name recognition and freely available content generators. The app helps people generate more content. So why is it such crap to use? 1/5
A bit complicated but the best by anonym Excellent free app, supports very detailed maps. Very stable. Only thing right now is I can't figure out how to scale and restrict POI's icons on lower zoom levels to prevent cluttered images. 5/5
by anonym I downloaded it yesterday 29 May from play store (to get the version). My phone is Wileyfox Swift running Cyanogen OS which is based on Android 6. The app won't start. "Unfortunately, OsmAnd has stopped" it says. Please help. 1/5
Where am I? by anonym I love OSM. This app is great, but it has a problem with mixed character sets. It shows Thai names but not when they include western numbers. You just get a mojibake. So if you have numbered streets you don't know where you are. 5/5
Was fantastic versions ago, no more. by anonym This used to be the best map for offline use. It was simple and worked every time. In the effort to improve the developers lost sight of the most important things like usability, reliability and stability. Somewhere along the line favorites became nothing but a distance to indicator without descriptions. Just as aggravating is the spinning map as the app tries to orient itself. What was the absolutely best mapping app is now getting close to worthless. Search offline? Good luck. 2/5
Keeps crashing and too quiet by anonym I like the great number of features and options here and was really hoping it would mean i can move on from Google maps for my bike rides (you can upload gpx routes wheres google cant was main thing). However on first ride it crashed 8 times in the first 20km. The other problem was the voice was too quiet. On the road and hard of hearing i can here google maps voice directions fine but OSMand i cant, no matter my volume settings. So until its more stable and louder its unusable for my needs 2/5
Awesome audaxing app by anonym Used to use it on galaxy s2 then got a Z3 compact and had rendering issues initially. Now on the same phone with an upgraded of 5.1.1 it is pretty robust. Containing many details that other apps lack it has now reintroduced itself as my go to mapping app on my bicycle. Thanks for your hard work developers! 5/5
Best offline nav by anonym Very good and accurate, because of using opestreetmap. Tried it abroad - no probelms. I even go and made 140 contributions for 2 days to osm because of the app. On the downside - the interface is a bit complicated, but I guess that is because there is a lot of options/features. 5/5
by anonym For the life of me I can't figure out how to get a .gpx track to show up in OsmAnd. I found instructions on the internet but they are all at least a year old and none of the instructions match the current version of OsmAnd. For example, there is no "map layers" or "data management" now. If I can't import and navigate my own custom route this this app is worthless to me. 2/5
Very useful but distorts a bit sideways while zooming by anonym Very brilliant and much better than the others I tried. The only con is when you zoom the map can go around if not very careful and get away from the area your looking at. Please see if you can improve this! Thanks 5/5
Very good but some bugs by anonym This is a must-have app for a cyclist. There are two issues I have though: 1) intermediate destinations do not work when gpx track is used to build a route - even if one adds manually the point after the route is calculated, the new route doesn't include them; 2) estimated travel time is way off for cycling. Most of the times we do not race, on a trail or in the city at least. The average speed for urban cycling is probably around 10-15 km/h and not 47 km/h as the app estimates for my city routes. 4/5
Need improvement by anonym I am a resident of India living in rajasthan jaipur. you cannot even find the entire street it contains only one particular place in the entire street either you have to choose that place otherwise you are lost. The place it is showing isn't popular. It cannot find the most popular place in that street. I don't know about other countries but if you are a resident of India then this map ain't for you. Osm devs if you can fix this it would be great because I love the other features such as POI. 1/5
by anonym UPDATE: (1) Crashes CONSTANTLY when entering street name/number! DOES NOT CALCULATE TRAFFIC AT ALL! **NO ANSWER TO TECHNICAL SUPPORT EMAIL SENT SEVERAL WEEKS AGO!! OTHERWISE - The voice guidance is clear and well in advance of your turns when driving. The features and configuration options are well thought out. The map graphics are easy to view with several map display style/color options. 2/5
