Didn't work, annoying ads by anonymHard to know if I'm typing in the right password when I can't see the characters and the screen is flashing. After 3 tries I'm sure it was right, but no dice. I can see the share from another app, so I know it should work. 1/5

Does the Job Right by anonymThis app does its job right and gets the task I need to compete done. The app, due to the very bland design, can be frustrating to use. Absolutely no thought in terms of design was included in the development of apps. I understand that the majority of ITs / network admins couldn't care less about how it looks, but they do care when it affects the usability of the app. 4/5

Not great by anonymBackgrounding the app in mid transfer locks up, have to force quit, restart transfer. Could not dl to external storage, permission error, app offered no way to fix or point me in the right direction how to alter perms. 2 stars for connecting and downloading while i watched a progress bar. 2/5

Pre Kit Kat: 5 stars by anonymThis app was solid until I replaced my phone. I'm now on a phone running Android Kit Kat and it's no longer possible for AndSMB to write to the extsdcard. There's a mention of supporting the Storage Access Framework in Android 5.0 but I'm on 4.4 for the foreseeable future. Obviously I've had a couple of years of a great app for no money so I won't complain. Thanks Lysesoft but goodbye for now. 3/5

Great! by anonymThis worked great until it didn't.. One day I tried to open my file share and it just went to the local storage on my phone.. I deleted and re-entered my server info, still the same thing happens. Down to one star from five until it's fixed. 1/5

No good by anonymI want to map a network drive to a local drive so i can download files to my network. It does not provide this service. In fact all it does is pair a local folder with a network location and I dont know what use this is? 2/5

Not what I expected by anonymStill looking for a non-root SMB client which would mount a network share and allow other apps to access files on it. This app does access the share but it's not mounted where I specified and forces me to open files through this app, one by one while serving ads. I guess that could be useful to someone but it's not my cup of tea. 3/5
Aweful - Update removes features by anonymFirst the non-optional UI change, now the removal of features. This app is getting worse and worse with every update, I'm looking for an alternative that doesn't try to shake down its users by removing features and perverting the UI. 1/5

OK by anonymPretty good overall. Few problems/suggestions: Many timeout problems and slow throughput while transferring many files. Very slow throughput. Streaming music should allow to stream through external music app. Also, if I'm streaming music and hit the home button, then go back into the app, there is no way to interact with that stream anymore. It just plays in the back ground, unseen, until I kill the app. 3/5
Great app by anonymIt's simple and it works great. There are only two limitations: synchronization is only in paid version of the app and speed is limited to ~1 MB/s. Otherwise this app does its job in the best possible way. 5/5
Sync is broken by anonymThe SMB browser is adequate and reliable, however syncing my phone with my router's usb hard drive makes for a frustrating experience. All I see is "computing synchronization report" with no subsequent reports. Surely this can be imporoved?? 3/5
US date format by anonymThis app uses the US mm-dd-yy date format (which NO other country uses) and makes it harder to use. Needs an option to select your preferred date format. Why are some Americans so blinkered?? 3/5
It is not a mount :( by anonymMobile os'es are all deficient. Their designers trying hard to prevent free sharing. Android is just bad as iOS. 3/5
Good stuff by anonymI use this to share files from my phone to my work pc, home pc, network shares. Connect to vpn and copy down files while on the road or in bed. It's really facilitated my laziness. It's so powerful, and I love it. Wish there were a cheaper way to remove ads for those of us who don't need the other pro features. I'll probably buy it anyway just to support the developer. 5/5
Minimal but efficient by anonymQuite basic but really quick to set up and get going. Media player could do with some basic improvements though, just to bring it up to the levels of at least the stock media player on the android device 5/5
Authentication always fails by anonymEvery attempt to authenticate using the same server, user and password settings that work on the three PCs here fails. If this app actually worked, it would be useful. 2015.2.3: Even after update to new version, & some help from vendor, authentication still fails. 2015.2.5: Installed Antek Explorer & its SMB client, and it connects with no problems. Can't cut files from local device storage and paste to remote disk by anonymLooks nice, but basic things you just can't do. You can 'upload' to remote disk but it copies, it doesn't move. Absolute pain to use. 1/5
Only download, no play from network. by anonymThe purpose of servers is to serve files, so clients won't need to store them. AndSMB won't play any file directly from server, only download to the device, which defeats half of the purpose. Not useful. Uninstall. 3/5
Works great with windows 7 shares by anonymApp took a tiny tiny bit of setup. First on PC I shared the folders I wanted. Then I fumbled around a bit before getting the andSMB to find the shares. But not bad to setup and works great! 5/5
by anonymSpent a lot of time trying to load a SMB drive, but no luck. Tried different user account, share names, nothing works. Next tried Astro SMB module, added Samba share IP address and folders show up immediately 2/5
