Not accurate. by anonym Doesn't take into account any medical conditions which may affect your heart rate and is just plain inaccurate. I've suffered from mental illness since I was little, which causes a lot of stress on a person. I'm currently going through a rough spot again and the app says I'm stress free. Hahaha... No. 1/5
Wrong by anonym When I sit quietly and breath calmly, the waves are perfect up and down, yet stress level shows- high 86%, when I do the opposite, measuring while walking around, the waves are short, erratic all over, stress level is low 12%. The idea is to have perfect wave, I thought. 3/5
Don't bother. by anonym I think their heart rate app is cool, but this one is completely unscientific. You can't measure stress level using only the heart rate. Good if you also believe in horoscopes and mood rings. 1/5
A load of crap by anonym It's so inaccurate. First time I tried it I used it properly. I'm not stressed at all and it gave me a reading of 95%. I then used it again but this time I waved my finger in front of the camera erratically making it look like I had a very irregular heart beat, going from very fast to very slow. It then said my stress level was 23. A load of crap basically 1/5
Not worth it, way too hot! by anonym I could barely finish the reading on my S4, the LED became painfully hot by the end and I had to force myself the keep my finger there. I am uninstalling, I won't do that again. It's not worth it for the "information" it gives back. 1/5
Poor App by anonym Wouldn't recommend. Does not accurately measure heart rate. Used pulse oximetry device on other hand and HR was way off. 2/5
App Is More Fiction Than Fact by anonym Wow.. My Ex files false charges and I don't let DFS into my home for an exploratory search, because it violates the 4th Amendment and they take my child on the basis of noncompliance with their investigation... I'm not sleeping and pacing the floors all night and day, but this app claims I am calm? But my bedding, ceiling fan and files compiled for my case are stressed!!! I am immediately taking my ceiling fan down, taking it to a psychiatrist and having it prescribed meds so it doesn't fall apart!!!! 1/5
Garbage by anonym I saw the review about the guy who set his phone on his desk and it detected his "pulse". I tried it on my pillow and unless my pillow is actually alive.....well you get the idea.... 1/5
by anonym Measurement seems accurate, people complaining about burning fingers obviously the app developer can't fix your phone manufacturers heat dissipation, just don't put your finger over the flash so much. The developer seems to have given up on this app, asks me to log in again and again to save the readings, probably they've changed the login method in the years since this was updated as it's redirecting to the company webpage, their new apps use an api to log in. This is so lazy as they could probably literally copy and paste the code from the blood pressure monitor to make this login work properly, it's only saving 2 strings of data. From their website it seems like they've concentrated on the ios versions of these apps as they have extra features and look more up to date. Shame because it could be a good app with a few days of developer time. 2/5
Wrong by anonym Does not give me an accurate reading, holding my finger where it says, finish out the time, and yet with 2 tests I got 100% stressed and then the next 2%, because in a 5 minute spam I go from completely stressed to relaxed, yeah right ha 1/5
Unreliable by anonym Faked a fast heartrate and only got stress of 8% I myself are actually extremely stressed and 6% was my average rate, all very low scores that indicate I'm relaxed. I thought it would be fun to try, but if the meter doesn't even go over 10% for me, It's useless and unreliable. My lowest was 2% When I actually relaxed. 2/5
Keep check of health issues by anonym I have problems with food allergy and have found this app, and Azumio's Heartrate monitor, invaluable tools for giving me credible and accurate biofeedback that reflects the foodstuffs I eat and provides a benchmark so I now have additional visibility of my progress towards eliminating problematic foods. These apps correspond to physical signs of stress when a contaminant is present in my diet, so I know the returning results are spot on! Thank you. 5/5
CONFUSED by anonym I thought it was accurate when my stress level was 24% and I was calm. However later I awoke in the middle of the night due to a nightmare. My heart was racing, and I decided to test the app again. It said my stress was 17%...REALLY?! The numbers don't add up. 1/5
The flash can get hot.. by anonym The flash gets hot and prevents me from getting a complete reading. 2/5
Misleading and inaccurate by anonym Heartrate is not always related to stress. There are a million different factors. There are also no determined "stress levels". This is basically a heartrate monitor that gives you a percentage instead of actually useful data. 1/5
FAKE by anonym All my floors, desks, chairs, and many other non living objects have a pulse so this is fake and so is the dev! 1/5
The Light by anonym The problem I have is that the camera light on my Nexus 4 gets so hot when taking the measurement that it burns my finger, I just can't keep it on there for the full measurement. 4/5
Works fine if you don't need customer service. by anonym This used to be better & did work, but you could record a comment with it & save the record. I actually bought the pro version of their heart rate monitor so there were backups & more. NOW, on this app you can make a comment BUT YOU CAN'T SAVE IT. I wrote to the dev. SEVERAL TIMES, THROUGH BOTH APPS. They couldn't be bothered to respond. They had plenty of time, THEY JUST DON'T CARE. Time to find something else - and you should too, and that's the truth. 2/5
Comment reader by anonym Samsung Galaxy ace - phone didn't get hot. Am under the age where there is apparently a problem n seems ta b accurate. Both hands had the same reading n table registered strangely enuf at 0% stressed! 4/5
SEEMS LEGIT. by anonym I never knew that my table was so stressed out! THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this app. Now I know that I must take better care of my table. For all you people with stressed tables, I recommend taking it out for a jog once in a while to reduce stress. Also, drinking Chamomile tea is an excellent way as well. 1/5
Ouch! by anonym My finger is burned. Camera flash becomes extremely hot! Use caution I only used it once. Test is two minutes long. 3/5
Takes too long by anonym Flash burns the hell out of my finger after about 70 seconds even on a Galaxy S3. On a Galaxy S2 its far worse. Also moving even a tiny bit ruins the test completely. Refine the app to get a more accurate result, faster. 1/5
Was very chilled until.... by anonym My finger said, move quick I'm going to burst into flames! Great app if you like scar tissue on finger and buying new phones because flash has melted. 1/5
Finger gets too hot to stay on the lens for two minutes by anonym The UI of the app is catchy and looks good however the testing or analysing the stress period is too long i.e two minutes which should be less at least one minute or even less. 3/5
Brutal by anonym Can't change year of birth... put in my year I was born, then hit done... always defaults to 2015... of course a baby would have low stress levels... anybody else have this issue... and no contact info available via app to let them know or ask questions... basically obviously doesn't work if takes data collected and basis it on a 0 year old person..... contact info for supplier of app would be helpful.... 1/5
birth date apparenty stored as "seconds since the epoch" by anonym Curious that if you try to set your birth date, you can only set it back to Jan 1, 1970. By coincidence, that's when the unix epoch starts, and unix time is commonly stored as "seconds since the epoch", so it sure looks like the app is storing the birth date using these units. I'm not sure what effect the age has on the measurement, but if you're older than 42 you can't set the correct age in this app. The app (judging by the bar graph that represents pulse) also took a long time to get the heartbeat, longer than the author's own instant heartrate app does on the same hardware. Granted this hardware does not have a LED for the flash, but if the other app can get the HB in decent time... 3/5
Cool app. Some functions don't work by anonym This will be great to recommend to my patients who don't have an iPhone and can't get Heartmath's GPS for the Soul. Too bad history save function doesn't work. Also can't type in year of birth as it will not properly. I have the HTC incredible 2. 4/5
NHot on my finger by anonym This is a great concept! Im getting "Error Null" when I attempt to save. That's not a big deal for me personally. However there is a problem that's concerning. It takes quite a while for the app to read your finger and the light gets unbearably hot! Ouch! That can throw off the reading and the whole purpose of the app. 3/5
Could be better by anonym Note: Phone must have a flash in order to work! This is not mentioned in the description or at any point during installation. This is probably why there are so many 1 star reviews saying it doesn't work. As other people have mentioned, the age input needs refinement. Also, I may have missed it, but I didn't see instructions at any point. 3/5
Accurate but history log not working by anonym Before I review, many people seem to comment about finger getting too hot because of light and not getting a result. PUT YOUR FINGER ON THE CAMERA LENSE, NOT THE FLASH. Reading seems accurate to how I feel. A little frustrated that the logs are not being stored. Keep getting 'error nul'. 4/5
by anonym I'm very stressed lately, I can feel it, but I get 8%, very relaxed. Based on what, the fact that my heart rate is good? Not at all accurate for me. 1/5
by anonym I love this app I get stressed a lot so this app let's me know relax. The 1 thing I wish this app had was more info about or facts about stress related symptoms iOS app has it why doesn't the Android app have it 4/5
Got to laugh! by anonym Yesterday it's heart monitor have of a reading of 104bpm, today I'm 0% stressed.. I'll be back after an hour on the Xbox red what it says then :-) 3/5
seems to work by anonym people that say their fingers is geting hot are doing it wrong. you need to place the finger on the camera. not the flash. 5/5
Ouch! by anonym Have to press the cam lens for two minutes and i can only make it for one, have to move my finger away cos the lens is burning my finger, no choice but to give it a three star as this make the result in accurate. Always said my stress level is very low and im very calm cos there is no heart rate after one minute:/ 3/5
by anonym When my heart skips I can see it on the display. I wish it would give more statistics instead of just a stress percentile. 4/5
by anonym I started the app expecting it to give me instructions. The phone was resting on the DESK. The app explained how it was detecting my heart rate and conluded that I have a low level of stress. What it should have inicated was that I had no pulse since the desk is definately not alive ! 1/5
Just an okay app by anonym Birthdate seems to be fixed. Finger gets hot on flash; make sure you put finger on lens, then it's not so bad. Galaxy S 2 3/5
I probably have very thin skin... by anonym Because I can feel my finger heating up way before the 2 minute mark! Feels like i'm slowly roasting my finger over a small fire. On another app using the same measuring method (finger in camera), i can barely make it past the 10 second mark without being squirmish! Otherwise, app works on Samsung Galaxy Nexus :-) 3/5
To hot, not enough info by anonym I can tell you why my stress levels were a little elevated, it's because the heat was burning my finger! The test goes for too long and the flash heats up. Also there's very little info, not even what your heart rate is! 2/5
