If you live abroad, like me in Spain, you'll have realized that most (if not all) local news services are... Well, short-sighted. When I want a concise, accurate and unbiased snapshot of what's going on in the world, this app is the best way to get it. Plus you can choose the topics of most interest to appear in the 'My news' section. Highly recommended. 5/5

BBC is the best news source for me, it covers all the gloabl events & news. I love that they are unbiased and accurate. I can always count on the information they provide to be concise & correct. The app is very user friendly & well organized. I definitely recommend it. 5/5

I am a huge BBC fan and this app delivers intelligent and impartial news coverage as well as excellent features on just about every subject imaginable. But the radio player is a disaster. It's unreliable at best and completely non-functioning at times. I have the same issues on iOS and Android, whether on WiFi or LTE. A valve radio from the 1930s would be a better option. Please fix the problem! 4/5

I have only good things to say for the most part - frequently rotating stories, user friendly interface, and the customizable story lists are quite convenient. The pop up ads are occasionally slightly irritating, and I have seen rare glitches and crashes. Overall a very strong app. 4/5

A robust app delivering a mix of up to date news, kingdom propaganda (like what is the little prince wearing today), and biased political interpretations in disguise of facts. There is an air of amnesia when it comes to acknowledging and explaining the consequences of hundreds of years of British imperialism, exploitation, theft and cultural supremecy. There is a clear anti Jewish, anti Israeli bias, representing the imperial sour lemons and the British tradition of catering to the wealthy Arab dictatorship 3/5

Probably my defining experience with the BBC news app was when I was on my own doing some work one dark winter evening. it was around 8PM and I heard the BBC news intro music, it doesn't happen often, intact I was confused as to what the ringtone meant. I picked up my phone to read the notification... "BREAKING 8 dear in Paris shooting". My stomach sank, I felt sick to my stomach thinking about my European brothers being attacked, I spent that evening glued to the app as the reports rolled in, I followed them on their journey of trying to figure out what what what has happened in one of our great unions greatest cities. I don't think I'll ever forget that evening, but the mixture of great technology and great journalism created a great experience and really helped me, keeping informed as it progressed was a great comfort during what was a really scary, confusing and sad time. For that experience alone I love the BBC news app. 5/5

It runs very smoothly, keeps me up to date on finance, cybersecurity, economics, business, US and UK politics, technology, health, science, and much more. I have been a long time fan of the BBC News and they have never disappointed me. After years of traveling the globe I can count in the BBC to provide extremely accurate and breaking news! 4/5

Really annoying periodic full screen ads. In text advert placement , quite disturbing. The app is actually quite good, with good content, but is largely ruined by this excessive and intrusive advertising. Also, after using some time it seems to consume far too much power, despite having (seemingly)closed it.. 2/5

Started of as a great news app but with updates it has got worse. It is constantly using power even though i have all background services switched off for this app (ads?). The layout is so cludgy and clumsy. Please go back to the clean, simple and compact layout without intrusive ads and without sneaky background services you cant switch off. 1/5

One of the best news sources on the planet always consistent to the point and give you exactly what you need - the facts! This allows you to formulate your own opinions! I also love the fact they give you links to the original language reporting 5/5

the swipe controls are unreliable, trying to scroll along the stories often results in it changing the whole section, scrolling up to see earlier items often results in it refreshing. The UI feels cluttered in general rather than simple and clean as before. The update is a real step backwards 2/5

Why the hell can't i play the BBC world service, i listen to it everyday! The old app was more simple, compact, and i could listen to the world service! Now its saying constantly that it cannot be played due to an error! Its so annoying !! Please fix 2/5

The app stopped updating so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it only to find adverts in the middle of news articles. Oh BBC, what a shame. I'm uninstalling it again never to use until adverts are stopped. 2/5

I often come across articles missing the last paragraph which means I have to go to the website which defeats the purpose of the app and what assume are to be links sometimes show up as plain text. 1/5

I have been using BBC app for nearly 3 years. Never had any problem until the latest update. It causes problem in loading the news after going through few articles. The live coverages of news and sports events doesn't refresh and after a while goes blank. Plus previous versions used to upload almost all articles in cache which was helpful to read while offline. Now I need to constant wifi connection. Please take care. 2/5

If you really are interested in knowing what is happening in the World, the BBC is the source. The others claim to be "news organizations"; they're more focused on entertaining, or keeping their fan base happy. Here you find NEWS 5/5

My go-to app whenever I have wait time. It saves my life on long travel days; offline access is great. My favorite are the more offbeat international stories. Only one small irritation: When I scroll through the horizontal video feed it's very easy to accidentally load the next tab instead (My News). A redesign to avoid this would be welcome. 5/5

App constantly refreshes news stories every time I return to the main page. This results in too often being sent to the top of the page or to a different news story to the one I wanted to read. 3/5
