Need to improve a lot for android, Samsung note 10.1 by anonym Since the new update the same lyrics appear in my screen, error code 80004005. Checked in forums and this is a common issue 2/5
Can't sign in by anonym I love the desktop version, but I can't get past the sign in screen. Motorola Xoom, Android 4.1.2, build JZO54K. 1/5
Unnecessary removal of features for the mobile version. by anonym Sync option, no plural; is a joke. Can't set sync intervals, and since it does not push edits in real time to OneDrive, so if you edit notes on a different device, you will not see those edits until you change, close, open individual sections of a note book, since it instead of syncing only changes for all notes linked to that OneDrive account. You get one checkbox type, could you long press to access more? No. There's no option for the tablet ribbon. Excessively high CPU usage that induces severe input lag. 1/5
Learn from SNote by anonym Good apps but always encounter error like sync error and slow download speed... most of the page that I added from desktop got error and unable to display in the apps by showing "!" symbol, is that bugs or anything else that Microsoft refused to solve it from the beginning until now? please add undo and redo function together with cut and paste function 1/5
Missing pen and note book support by anonym With notes you can not replicate a note book and there is no good pen support. It would great to have a setting or button for a pen.if set or pushed only the pen can be used. Take look at s note. That is a super good app. 2/5
Password protection by anonym In my pc, I protected my one note tab with password. But I can't see it with my android phone.... can you add PW function for android version? 3/5
Great app by anonym OneNote does well in keeping your notes in one place, just a drawback...password protected sections from pc are not accessible on mobile app. Please fix this and you'll have my 5stars! 4/5
by anonym I use this primarily to replace carrying around huge stacks of notes. I am a medical student and recently purchased the Galaxy Tab A w/ office built in. It works well for the most part to replace traditional pen and paper which I am still a fan of writing down notes, rather than typing. The only problems I have are that a lot of times if I accidentaly make a mark or want to remove highlighting, it doesn't allow me to erase. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't and I have no idea why. Also, if I tap on the screen, it often jolts back up to the beginnning of a pdf I am annotating. This is often 50 or 60 pages I have to then scroll back through to get to where I was, which is frustrating while we are in class and moving quickly. Please let me know if there is a way to counter those, or if a fix is coming, 3/5
Simplified but good by anonym I use OneNote extensively for work and only started using it for personal stuff recently. I downloaded the app recently and have had a chance to use it fairly regularly and it works well. I'd prefer a more feature-rich app but I can live with what the app currently offers. Would like to see the ability to do real snips of sites (include content instead of just a link). 5/5
Limited search can't find text on a page. by anonym I was hoping for a way to find text in long pages (like ctrl + F on a PC). Not with this app. It's decent otherwise. 3/5
Use it for everything by anonym I use One Note for everything! It integrates seamlessly across my Samsung Note 4, iPad and windows PC. I couldn't live without this app. 5/5
Functional but missing heading styles by anonym Heading styles I have applied on my desktop show up on the Android app, but I'd like to be able to apply heading styles from within the app. Am I missing this option on my Galaxy Note 4? I have so far not had to sign in troubles that others with the same phone have described. 3/5
Works great by anonym Feels like a true extension of my desktop. Make sure you know how to use OneNote at your desktop as this is more of an extension of that 4/5
Awesome organization app! by anonym Works awesome on my Samsung Galaxy 4s and iPad 4. Love syncing and being able to write! I still like to use a pen and I can do that but with everything in one place. I use at work and its my brains! I use to orgazie myself personally and other activities. 5/5
I must say by anonym I was shocked to see any negative reviews. I personally find that OneNote is accessible and streamlined. It's my favorite app for life. 5/5
Needs more polish by anonym This app needs more polish. Should be redesigned like the onedrive app, which is excellent. Notebooks should sync more often. And the whole experience could take a lot of improvement. 2/5
Good but wishing for more features by anonym Off all of Microsoft's Android apps, OneNote is the best. Better in many aspects than Google Keep but this is my wish list: ~ Undo feature ~ Cut and paste ~ Highlighting of keywords in pages in search results ~ Ability to fully manipulate (create/rearrange/promote/demote) section groups, sections, pages and sub-pages ~ Choices of font size and color ~ Color options for highlighting text ~ Ability to edit tables ~ Ability to sync/open protected sections. 4/5
Arabic not working by anonym Why didn't you fix it till now; it has been for long. we are paying a lot of money for Office 365, but Microsoft support is very bad. 1/5
by anonym I like that the draw feature was finally added so I can now take off the extra app that I was using just so that I could pen something's out. I like the linking feature on the desktop version and would like to see it on the mobile app or at least the linking within to work on the mobile app. 4/5
Some issues with mobile speed and sync by anonym I've been an Evernote user for a couple years and converting to OneNote. It's been an adjustment with categorizing notes, but I'm getting used to it. The biggest issues I have on the mobile platform are how long it takes to launch the application and I inconsistent syncing. Sticking with it, but hope these issues are resolved. Evernote launches quickly and syncs consistently. 3/5
Everything is great except for one small problem. by anonym Needs to be able to rename notebooks and do it without screwing up syncing. 4/5
Not working by anonym Its not working on Droid Mini (Kitkat 4.4.4). Tried clearing data, uninstalling etc, still crash with error 'unfortunately OneNote has stopped'. 2/5
Always running app is superfluous on Android given Google Keep by anonym I was introduced to OneNote while trying out Windows Phone freebie Nokia sent me... The app was functional and adequate. However on Android, Google Keep is more functional and better integrated, e.g. "OK Google take a note" works.... But the worst part of this app, and reason I uninstalled, is because the app is always running. Which blows because I don't use it much. There's no option to turn it off. I'd rather just have the app sync at startup, rather than having a sync service running in background. 1/5
Cant sync by anonym I have tried ten times to use app, but it cant get past me choosing my account! Pops up with an error code. Using a Galaxy Note 4 1/5
by anonym SHAME ON MICROSOFT!!! CLEARLY A HALF HEARTED ANDROID APP EFFORT!!! I'M PAYING $10 MONTH FOR OFFICE 365!!!!! I have over $1000 tied up in OneNote & MS Office software. Yet I'm using EverNote!!! How messed up is that? These 4 & 5 Star USER reviews above and below CANNOT REFLECT Onenote mobile vs Onenote Desktop or vs Evernote. ONENOTE MOBILE IS JUST ANOTHER NOTES APP! BUT ITS NOT ONENOTE!!! NOT 3 STAR WORTHY when Compared to Evernote or Onenote Desktop!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ONENOTE DESKTOP!!! Closest thing IMO to PERFECTION! Its LOADED!!! I go to Best Buy, Comp USA, Tiger Direct, Costco, etc and repeatedly PASSIONATELY EDUCATE their sales reps & Customers on Onenote!! OneNote Mobile :-( on the other hand )-: doesn't even recognize its own links :(page, folder, notebook, section links): . Linking makes OneNote THE BEST APP EVER!!!. Its 50% of the Heart and soul of OneNote. ONENOTE DESKTOP LINKS EVERYTHING!!! Large databases need fast navigation!!! Onenote Desktop provides almost INSTANT navigation & access to data ANYWHERE & in almost ANY database - saving countless hours of searching, etc. Onenote Mobile improvements are LONG overdue. 2 STARS! CAN'T USE IT!!!! 2/5
by anonym I wish there was a way for the look of OneNote on Android to look like its desktop counterpart. The vertical tabs is not something I'm crazy about, making the layout look convoluted. I wish the view was seamless. I can't even move my notebooks around. Also, we need to be able to expand and retract our notes in our notebooks. With all of them expanded, it's a little tedious having to scroll all the way down through my notes. It also makes the layout confusing. Otherwise, the RTF is great and working with it is well done. I like that I can zoom in or zoom out of a note to make the text-size larger or smaller. 7/18/15 Update: I'm having trouble syncing one of my notebooks. It's fine in my desktop software but refuses to sync to the Android version so I had to reduce my rating by one star. 2/5
Getting better but sync is terrible . Grinds to a halt with larger notebooks. And why is it syncing so often? by anonym Still suffers from big slowdown oprning and navigating between notes, related to syncing. Doesn't sync pictures to your notes causing even more syncing when navigating as it tries slowly to load them eventually - this makes navigation impractical. Map pics saved are sometimes grainy &unreadable on mobile but clear on desktop, maybe width is limited? I would like to use the tags defined on my desktop. Good pen input. 1/5
Good but not great by anonym I would like the ability to save a quick note in the section of my choosing. It would also help if there was support for password protection. 4/5
Used to love it, stopped working on nexus 6 by anonym I will happily give this 5 stars when it starts working on my nexus 6 again. The most recent update broke it and now it completely fails to open. The start up screen will pop up and then it crashes back to the app drawer. Come on, Microsoft. You can do better than this. 3/5
It works but..... by anonym Overall the app does work and it's nice that it cross platform. My biggest problem with it is that when turn on lines it's just a background the lines mean nothing to formating. It is really lacking compared to the desktop version 3/5
Pure Waste by anonym Took a little more than a half hour to create a Microsoft account thanks to its pathetic verification procedures. Finally successfully setting up an Outlook account only to find out that this notetaker is a COMPLETE WASTE 1/5
Needs improvement. by anonym Loved the software when I was using XP on my laptop. Hence decided to try this app. Was happy to see that it works mostly flawlessly. However, syncing takes a lot of time even when in wifi. Loading the web page (using the app from chrome store) is also very time consuming. Takes a long time to sign in and fetch the notebooks. 3/5
Please add SD card support! by anonym Cannot have this for everyday use for all my notes without this! Pictures and other graphic support are appeals for onenote. No SD card support on smartphones that typically have <10gb internal memory available for apps is counter-intuitive to me... 3/5
Love but needs work for Android by anonym Awesome app on desktop and Apple products and so great that you can sync between every device but severely lacking functionality on Android. Not sure why??? Most specifically, buttons for undo and redo would be greatly appreciated!!! 4/5
7-6-15 RELEASE STILL FAILS TO OPEN PROGRAM by anonym COME ON MICROSOFT FIX IT ALREADY! Application fails to load - opens then closes immediately. Running Lollipop 5.0.2 installed OneNote then opened it, signed into account then the app flashes through the opening process then exits. 1/5
by anonym Do you think it is cool to show users on startup the oneNone logo for seconds?? you can cut the crap, and just make the app load instantaneously! Also your widget should support direct input on home screen and much more. there are too much stupid lame programs to type something in 2/5
Would rate if I could sign in. by anonym Been trying to migrate away from EverNote due to their desktop app now consistently hounding for upgrades. Unfortunately, OneNote's desktop app works nicely, every single attempt to sign in from my tablet results in a FC. Yes, every single attempt. If you use a TF201, cross your fingers and hopefully you have better luck than I. 1/5
Lacks functionality and takes forever to sync by anonym For all its glory on pc, this app is very poorly optimized for Android users. However it does get the job done and it's free. 3/5
Can't sign in by anonym Using my Office 365 account provided by my University, it prompts me to sign in but only shows a cancel button. There is no way to move forward with logging in. 1/5
