I think the app itself is much better, but the data usage is incredibly high. It used almost an entire go of data in one day, and I only looked at the app for about 5 mins. Must be running heavy in the background 2/5

Crap app gives over generalized forecast for different breaks , difficult to read tidal and wind info and no long range forecast ?, if only seabreeze made an android app , 1/5

Within a week this app used 2.8 gb of background data unbelievable. App works better but definitely not worth it, give me back my data!!!!! 1/5

It's great but when you close the app it's still runs the cam and eats up your data. Much needed fix. Other than that good stuff 3/5

This app created 69 GB of background data to my phone bill, hundreds of dollars of data because their app is defective. Beware and set or limit background data for this app. Also set a data limit on your account and a warning when your exceeding your allowed data limit. Thanks surfline. 1/5

Be careful! The app will continue streaming in the background if you let it! Used 2 out of the 5GB I have per month in ONE day. Great app but be sure to disable background data! 3/5

I vote for user resorts, timelapse feeds, and improved interface with text that can be more easily read. Timelapse feeds are my biggest suggestion. View the last hour of static cams in timelapse mode to analyse set frequency and currents. 3/5

I'm giving it a one cause everything is perfect except the live video feed. It will play the ads but will not play the live feed says it has failed. Get this fixed and I'll give 5 stars. Thanks 1/5

I've been running the new updated app for a week now. All I have to say is its amazing. All the north and south OC cams are working and that is awesome. Thanks Surfline for making it happen. BTW the new UI is great. 5/5

First of all I'll say I was able to view surf cams. With that being said I don't mind a few ads but this app makes trying to view the main subject (surf cam) rediculous. If anyone wants to try to use this app I hope you have better luck than I did. Please developers make it easier to use! 2/5

Huge jump in background data usage since I updated to the most recent version. I haven't checked a cam in a week, and just noticed the app had burned .82 gigs of mobile data in just a few days, all background, no foreground. Had to disable mobile data for the app, and this was never a concern with previous versions. Please look into this. 4/5

Good app, but something is going on with backgrounded data. .... couldn't figure out how so much was being used and found it was this app.... im just thankful i have tmobile and there are no overages. You guys are better then that and need to fix the problem as i have seen several complaints on the same thing. .... and for those people that say not enough spots maybe you should move to a better surf city. ...lol. i would change my rating to 5 if it stops sucking data. ... 2/5

Must be a regional thing cause I'm in Australia and the report compared to the forecast is all over the joint. Saying it's 3/4 foot in report then 6/7 in forecast for same day. As I believe this is an American app, you may want to look at where you get your info as they are both wrong. It's only 2ft. 2/5

This app does a good job with the cams and offers a ton of spots. There a few things that make it very annoying, you can't see the wind directions on the forcast, the forecast also never shows conditions under the size anymore (like "fair", "poor", ect). You can't see the surfline articles on the app and the website no longer offers a mobile version. I like being a paid member of surfline but having to view the full website on my phone to see all the details is ANNOYING! Otherwise a 5 star app. 2/5

Samsung Galaxy S6. Whenever I look on the regional forecast it never shows me the wind direction arrows. All I see is the bars that measure the speed... can this be fixed?? 2/5

Great rebuild, but mobile background data is going crazy. I check a cam maybe three times a week and always on wifi, but this app has burned through 3 gigs of data in a week. This must be fixed! It's costing people money. 4/5

The app looks great and feels great. And most important cams work on my phone! It's been a rough year or so without you Surfline, but you've quit drinking, started working out and picked up a fresh style. I'm glad we're back together. 5/5

Excellent UI this time! I'm a member and use surfline very frequently. The web site could learn a few things from the app. Missing one little item or I would have given it 5 stars. Still great, though. 4/5

Uodate 9-4-2015 Cameras now work. Great App!! Thanks Surfline!! Update: 8-31-15 I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and no change. Downloaded from Google play. Everything was working great until a recent update. I have lost ALL cameras. Even your ads don't load. SAMSUNG S5 everything up to date. PLEASE FIX!! No way I am buying a subscription until this gets stable. I just moved to Jacksonville so I am relying on Surfline for all info. 5/5

This app was terrible before but now with the new update it works great. All the cams work and the info is easy to get to and see. I use it all the time now. Just as functional a the web site. A+++ 5/5

Used to be able to watch the cams. Got a forced update yesterday and now none of the cams will load. Update: after following the link and updating the app the cams work again! Thanks Surfline! Oh, I also really like the new layout, it's more user friendly. I'm on Android GS4 mini. Thanks again 5/5
