by anonym worked perfectly well until about a month ago (mid may 15). now starts up ok but when running no maps / tracks are shown on Samsung note 2 running android 4.3 2/5
Good for tracking run but could be better by anonym This is my number 1 tracking app for running I prefer this over google fit however it would be better to compare tracks i.e I ran 3.5k yesterday and I run the same amount for the whole week I should be able to compare between the first run and the last run or all the runs in the week. Really good though keep up the good work (some ui updates would be good too, for lollipop material design) 4/5
Used to be good by anonym Since last update started behaves quite unpredictable. It is tracking first about 250 meters then stops and starts again after some time and so on. It turned to piece of rubbish. 1/5
by anonym The latest app has resulted in a completely unreliable GPS reading for me. I went on 3 walks recently with the following results: 0.5 mile walk, 1600 feet recorded; 2.0 mile walk, 1800 feet recorded; 2.8 mile walk 1300 feet recorded. Looking at the map you can see short red lines where the GPS starts to record then large gaps where it isn't recording. Also, the GPS tracking isn't even close as it looks like I walked right through back yards in the neighborhood. It's completely unusable at this point for me on a 1st gen Moto X. 1/5
by anonym Useful for making sure I thoroughly cover a defined area (needed for work), but I really need to be able to resume recording a track that has been saved. And generally, this thing (along with My Maps) _really_ needs an update. 3/5
Not working now. Years ago was great. by anonym I had this app years ago on my Galaxy s3. It was great. Tracked perfectly and would playback in Google Earth. I just installed it on my galaxy s5 and it is very problematic and will not play on Google Earth. There are big gaps in the track from where has dropped GPS. When it does work, the accuracy is lousy. I was so looking forward to having this app again but I'm very disappointed it's not working anymore. 1/5
App stopping repeatedly in each run by anonym Have been using only my tracks for last 18 months, ever since I started running, for its simplicity and reliability. But in past couple of weeks starts with a delay (after a minute), 1st km pace is incorrect (shows higher speed) and stops in between. Now I have to look for an alternative, unless Google resolves these issues. 2/5
by anonym Doesn't work with my Polar H6 (open issue for the last few years), otherwise good and simple app with lots of options. 1/5
Too buggy, to long to correct problems by anonym Latest version eating battery on my nexus 7 (2012). App services running when I don't want or expect them to be. Problems take months to resolve. Perhaps developer is trying to cram too much into single app. Used for 3 years when hiking. Have now uninstalled. Was interested mainly in distance, elevation gain, and min/Max elevation. 2/5
Can't trust it any more by anonym Used to reliably track my position and cope happily with me switching Airplane mode off/on to save power. Recently the GPS has been cutting out, but the timer continuing, so the recorded track is incomplete and the average stats are all wrong because only part of the route distance was recorded. Thankfully I was also using a Garmin GPS watch today. Not sure I can trust My Tracks on its own again until Google fix/explain. 2/5
Terrible by anonym GPS has stopped working within the application. Applications are supposed to improve with each upgraded version not this one. One of the worst apps I am trying to use buts it's unusable. PLEASE FIX IMMEDIATELY. 1/5
Wrong Caloric counts by anonym As an example of the many wrong counts, my latest workout was a 1hr and 45min bike ride from Mt.Pleasant SC, over the Ravenel Bridge, to downtown Charleston and back. Elevation gained over 1500 ft. and even though I synched my HR monitor my calories burned were only 375?!!? 3/5
Almost unusable with latest updates by anonym Latest updates make this almost unusable. Unless you are traveling in areas with no trees, houses, cars and other large objects, the app will lose gps tracking and say "Waiting for GPS signal", but 100 feet further and you can press the location button and it will show you where you are but the recorded track will not update. It stops recording where it lost GPS signal and never tries to catch up. 1/5
by anonym Mostly great, but incredibly slow to delete tracks (*many* seconds per track) and the google drive sync is flaky. Deleting tracks just says "Please wait... Deleting..." - if you can't speed it up by a factor of 100, it'd be nice if it at least showed progress. 3/5
Black screen with a few icons by anonym Was very good but has started to only show a black screen with a few icons. I suspect that it is an update that is causing this. Getting tempted to un install and look for something else. Very poor quality move by google. 2/5
Google without Google? by anonym I like this app over many (maybe every) other running/fitness app because it isn't filled with so much bloatware (Facebook sharing, pointless news feeds, etc), however, Google on Android has switched to Material Design for quite some time but this "Google" app doesn't feature it. UI needs a lot of improvement, other than that, pretty decent app. 3/5
Great potential but can't use! by anonym Keeps freezing & I have to uninstall it to unfreeze it! The very few times I've been able to use it successfully, I've found that it's the exact app I want, so I keep trying to get it to work, unsuccessfully time after time. I give up...I'll find a different app. 2/5
Keeps Crashing by anonym Works as expected. Sometimes it shouldn't even be running, but I get notifications it crashed. Uninstalling. 2/5
New version doesn't work by anonym Got a new phone Samsung Galaxy S6 and had to get the updated version. Used the app for several years with no issues. New version constantly drops the GPS, picks random starting points miles away, distance is never correct always under, etc. I tried for two months and I can't use this anymore, ran on the trail by work which is 4.2 miles and app registered under 1. Since I can't give lower than 1 star the only positive is you can always say you went much farther than it said. 1/5
The App needs some serious visualization for sharing... by anonym This is a great app but am surprised that the sharing mechanism is so poor that the only thing one can share it just empty maps, no stats, nothing, just a map with circles running around a track. I think Google can do better. However, I like the fact that I am not forced to Facebook like some other apps do. 4/5
Inconsistent by anonym This app used to work great, but now it doesn't keep an accurate track of my walk. I'm having the same problems as other people. Guess I'll have to use Runtastic until this is fixed. 1/5
Skips running recording by anonym It skips the trail i make in an open space. Application crashes after a min ofcchecking my prev. Runs. 3/5
Distance and speed incorrect by anonym Time passed shows correctly, but speed and distance way too high! When exported from mytracks and imported in google earth on pc, everything is correct so no faulty gps in my device, just buggy software... 2/5
Good. But needs improvement by anonym Am using for more than a month . the app is somewhat less accurate when it comes to tracking my path. Sometimes it's showing my track in a zig zag way and also sometimes looks am going into various houses in the street and coming back . app is also slow in picking up the gps location 3/5
Dead areas by anonym Starts and stops while walking, leaving blank sections on the map. I am going to defeat and download then try again. Elevation 100' low, distance not consistent, can not trust it. Reinstalling did not help.Time to download another app. Sorry, I loved it in Oregon but since I got this phone and up graded the app it is unusable for me. I tried. 1/5
H7 HRM won't connect! by anonym The Polar H7 HRM is listed in sensor list, so I bought one & Paired it with myTracks, but myTracks refuses to "Connect" with it. Also, you need to add the HR display functionality to the "Stats" tab page to be viewed along with Speed/Pace. My H7 paired with the "Polar Beats" app fine & works good there. Finally, you need to add a Display option in Settings for Black font & graphics on a White background, as the stats page is impossible to view in sunlight until I can get into some shade. Samsung S4. 3/5
Good app, except the latest 2.0.10 update. by anonym The new Earth layer is great, thanks, but can you fix the satellite layer that's not good anymore? Also, new bugs: 1)The app crushes every time when I stop recording and go to the list of previous tracks. 2) The app very often "looses" a cashed satellite layer. Very frustrating when you're up in mountains with no Internet connection! Can you add a distance measurement so we don't need a 3rd party app for that? The ability to share tracks would be nice too. And why the delete process takes hours? 3/5
by anonym Is not working anymore. Have tried all the workarounds. Everyone seems to be facing some issue. As a last resort will try re-installing. If still doesn't work.. 1/5
Broken by anonym Used to work great and was very reliable. Now it doesn't track half of my runs correctly. Says I went 500 feet instead of the 3+ miles I actually covered. I can open Google Maps in the middle of my run and it pinpoints my location correctly, so it's not my phone's GPS, it's the POS update. 1/5
Great app, but doesn't work with Polar by anonym This is a great app, but am only giving it 3 stars because it doesn't support using a Polar H7 heart rate monitor. After researching, it appears this has been an open issue for more than 2 years. That's sad, I thought Google would be more on top of things than that. 3/5
Good but bugs are annoying by anonym 120km, app working the whole time but it stopped recording after 89km. Very disappointing to see your bike ride shortened by 30km. What's up with that Google? 3/5
Wish I Could Edit by anonym I always have to start a track, stop it, then start a new track before the GPS starts to work. Also, I wish I could edit a track if I forget to stop it at the end of a run and get in my car and drive off! 3/5
Missing key fwatures by anonym Used to be my go-to app when I exercise, but I found it to be inadequate now. android wear support is too basic. No heart rate, no Mph. 3/5
Still no Earth playback by anonym Works fine, but one of my favorite features, track playback on Earth, has been broken for a long time. The "play" button is there, the reminder that "Earth is required for playback" is there, exporting of a temp file is there, loading into Earth is there... but all it does is show current location. Hey Google - if you refuse to fix the playback function, why not just program out the play button so the app is less obviously broken??? 1/5
Doesn't work anymore! by anonym Stopped working a few months ago, when Verizon finally pushed Android 5.1 to my first gen Moto X, I was hopeful it would start to work again. Unfortunately still won't record a track. I have tried playing with the settings several different ways nothing works. 1/5
by anonym Well, I just read the entire bug report on code.google and the problem is only marked as Medium and is Archived. I cannot use this app any more. It will not find GPS, and if I use another app to start GPS it will miss large chunks of a walk, making this utterly pointless. I only used this for the ability to upload to my google drive. Looks like I'll just have to make my own maps and upload them manually, but this is being uninstalled... If there was even a peep out of the author about a resolution, I might have remained, but archiving an issue without even responding, thats just bullspit. Map My Fitness, at least you record properly... and give me other info like calorie estimate and so on.. I will just have to make do... 1/5
PLEASE bring back the last version! by anonym Made it worse; used to be perfect 5* but recently the are major bugs: I can't delete a track without the app crashing and if I open the app while tracking, most of the time the screen goes black, with only a few icons showing up, such as the little walking men on the left, which makes it unuseable. Also, for some reason some tracks duplicate, so then I have to delete them and it crashes! 1/5
by anonym Distance travelled is WAAAAY off. Supposedly this is just a glitch within the app's display of the track, and the info is accurate when exported to Google Earth.... But that extra step shouldn't be necessary. As soneone else stated, you ashould be able to edit the track in case you forget to stop it and drive around. Otherwise it's fine. I'll be switching to another app unless/until the distance issue gets fixed. 3/5
It lacks by anonym The material design and the option to add/edit activities such as going to the gym, another thing is that the GPS doesn't seem to work well with this app 2/5
by anonym This has now started turning on by itself and using too much battery and making the phone very hot. Not sure if this is due to android wear integration, but it kills my battery. 2/5
