Since installing The Guardian app, it has whittled away at my top 5 apps to come out on top. Simple and intuitive, this app has replaced a number of RSS feed readers, Flipboard and the BBC news app to give me one simple, well thought-out source of news. 4/5

Like the app but my S6 says it is resource intensive, that 's not good 4/5

Does not work at all since recent update-??? Unfortunately, Guardian has stopped working. *Uninstalled!!! 1/5

4 stars, because, I'm having trouble viewing live text of the football matches as the pages are not getting refreshed. It's depriving me to enjoy wonderful text commentary provided by you. I'm using the latest version of this app in android 5.1. Plz fix it soon. Looking forward to see this fixed in the next update. 4/5

Of course, the best source for US news is based outside the US. By far the best news source and tool I've found. And, beyond news, the use of language is far superior to anything I could hope to find from the US. The only thing I would add is more customisation of the articles that I receive notifications for. 5/5

Having been a Times subscriber for a number of years, I was quite frankly appalled with their inability to sort their mobile applications. My first thoughts with this app is that it is fabulous...and free! I particularly like the search facility. Well done to the developer! 5/5

Great app, but check its default settings carefully. (eg: The default update frequency is 5 minutes - which devours your battery in no time!) Otherwise great!! 5/5

Clean, honest and unbiased reporting stands out as a hallmark for all news media. The apps help me to share with my Google plus community. The SMS alert is fairly fast and good. 5/5

To date the only news app I feel halfway comfortable trusting. The App is great and my only complain is that I cannot buy a yearly subscription straight from the App (only monthly). Love how action time lines are created for news of interest. 5/5

Earlier comments below have now been resolved. Attractive and usually slick app which delivers the views of the journalists and readers in an attractive and reasonably intuitive way. Occasional issues with stuck adds our random closures but they are minor and pretty rare. 5/5

I am impressed! Really, the quality of content is creditable and the app itself is very competitively built and is full with eye catching aesthetics and beautiful colors. Journalism at its peak, I must say. On par with The International New York Times. I read them daily and they're the absolute best in my opinion. Plus, being in Pakistan, I read a local paper too and that one is The Express Tribune. I've tried them all and I can safely say that The Express Tribune is the best for Pakistani news. 5/5

Getting subtly, steadily better & more functional. A true global reporting experience, and so far, news I can trust. Free access to excellent reporting, stories that aren't "100% corporate approved, government filtered, shrink wrapped & ready for dissemination" (wouldn't want to offend an advertiser or the government with news (can you hear us NY Times?)). Features: offline reading, selectable text (to aid in easily externally verifing facts and finding sources), suggested related articles at page bottom. Impressed with progress. 4/5

A good friend told me about the Guardian app, and I checked it out. WOW was I surprised! It is great! All the news about all the things that matter and then some. I recommend it to everyone now because I am so impressed with the content, layout and how easy it is to navigate. GREAT SITE !!! 5/5

On my 2013 Nexus 5 clicking the Comments icon/counter top right of an article has no effect on this release of the app. It used to jump to the comments section. UPDATE: Fixed in latest version. :) 4/5

Needs more focus on the latest backbencher fashions, too much global, not enough lighter side of politics, like where is Joe hockey eating tonight 4/5

I don't care about commenting or reading drivel about who is eating/wearing what. All I want is good, organised, readable news which this app delivers. I don't have a bad word to say about it. Highly recommend, especially since purging Facebook from my life. 5/5

No problems as of yet. The flow of the app is beautiful. Only odd thing is the repeated articles as you go through from section to section -- that being said it does highlight them if they have already been read. 4/5

Good. A little annoyed it automatically sends you emails everyday, but easy enough to turn off. 4/5

I've read the Guardian for years, and I won't bother with most others. Good coverage, invariably interesting comment, and the Football section is required reading. Hardly surprising that Edward Snowden's revelations were in the Guardian. 5/5
