New Update Is Awful by anonymPlease put the older version back. The new app opens up on the friend activity page and I can't navigate outside of the community related pages. There's no way to get to the catalogue or even the shopping cart anymore as the entire left menu bar is gone completely. Horrible QA. 1/5
Needs more work by anonymUpdates have removed basic connectivity options, but added more other features. Needs work as it doesn't show broadcasts yet lists them. Keep up the constant updates and it will be a great steamos companion. 3/5
Buggy and over complicated by anonymI loved this app prior to the update. It wasn't perfect but the layout made sense and things were categories in a mobile friendly way. I like some of the things they've brought in like the user reviews but the overall design change is awful; Especially the catalogue page which might as well be a web page. Before, you click catalogue and it took you to a menu with clearly subdivided categories for new, popular and sale games. Now it's just one page that you must scroll through to get to the specials. 1/5
Irritating by anonymIt's good to use for chat. I was trying to look in the store to find a new game to buy, but the page kept refreshing over and over again. 1/5
It could do with more features. by anonymNot so good but can keep you up to date on all games in your wishlist (when they are on sale). But I cant find a way to leave a review, or look at reviews - meaning I dont use the app because I have to use the pc to determine if I want a game. Also now I cant view my own profile because it is private, also where has the library gone? 3/5
Incorrect login stuff by anonymI don't know why after I logout,I can't login after that. It keeps saying incorrect login even though I type everything correctly. Waiting for further help thx 2/5

I CANT CHANGE MY PFP in new update by anonymIt says to upload file which I kept on clicking for ages, and when u click upload it says u haven't chosen a file (duh cos I can't even get on to uploading a file -_-) 4/5

Why very limited options??? by anonymWhy are there only a limited options now?? This new update makes Valve seem like they dont give a rats behind about their users and probably even define them as consumers rather than users. The new options menu looks like a dumb downed version of the older style options menu and not only that but now there seems to be LESS options to choose from...??? What happened to the ongoing app icon i could leave in my notification bar? It was taken out of the Android version of Steam many many updates ago... 1/5

Buggy by anonymThis was great until the new update which made it completely unusable making me sign in to disable phone codes but not being able to log in because the phone codes dont work. Had to reset it manually on my pc. Please revert the last patch so i can change my review. 1/5

Notifications, always on by anonymI used to really like using the app as a way to communicate with friends from games, but now it's really hard to keep a convo going. Really would prefer the app to be always on after you check it once. 2/5

A good app to make use of Steam's community features on the go by anonymThe Steam app was a terrible mess at first and the only thing you could do was just chat with friends and buy games. But now Steam has greatly improved over these months to bring a much needed facelift with a little bit of material design. Although most of these features like trading and the steam market are web coded with a UI similar to the desktop view, it works well enough to justify it. 4/5

Update, all good now by anonym*update - seems to be working fine now, thanks a bunch devs!* Using a Galaxy S4 Zoom on 4.2. Steam opens to the friend activity page and I can't navigate out other than selecting games/friends on the feed. The left side bar appears to be missing, no hamburger button on the left, sliding from the left dims the screen as if it's supposed to appear so there's no access to the catalog or settings at all. 4/5
Latest update bridges the gap between the mobile version and the browser version by anonymBut broadcasts can't be set to run at full screen. Everything else is working fine tho. 4/5
Steam Guard problems by anonymIt never remembers my browsers especially on mobile devices but thats not my gripe with this app. The problem i have is with the browser within the app, whenever i try to browse the store from within the app it asks me to login which is rediculous enough, so i try to login and i get the steam guard code prompt which is impossible to enter since everytime i switch to the code generator and back the page is gone.. Steam guard doesnt recognize its own app. So to me that confirms just how broken steam guard is. 2/5

Buggy by anonymGood but chat notifications are sometimes bugged, not telling who messaged me and then telling me that someone else messaged me but nothing. Often need to restart the app every now and then. 4/5
Used to be Bland, Now Looks Fantastic! by anonymThe news feeds and friend activity page used to be a mess, but after the most recent update the app is easy to navigate and looks visually pleasing to boot. I'm glad Valve's making huge improvements on this side of things. 4/5
Used to be good by anonymNotifications used to display in top Taskbar and the app would flash LED for new messages. There should be an option to turn this off or on. With the push notification system now I miss messages constantly or they come in hours after the fact. Add a LED option and fix the atrocious push notification system. 1/5

Better... by anonymall the new updates are nice and all but still a few bugs here and there. Also still waiting for stable background connectivity. It was so nice to have in the old apps when it told you in the status bar if steam was running and if it Dc (like doing maintenance or if phone dc from net would just say reconnecting ) Now im never sure if the app is running if i close out to do anything. Other then that and few other things here and there. this app is better. 4/5
Took 3 Years... by anonymBut we FINALLY have offline messaging! They also can be pushed to your phone if you receive it. I've had the problem with the first chats of the day with someone on PC that the very first message is pushed to your phone regardless, but no biggie. Looks good too compared to what it was--always hated the Apple UI. 5/5

WTF by anonymNew update i cant buy or reload steam wallet,everytime trying buy a game,it asking username and password and steam guard.and everytime press steam guard and re-entered cart it will asking again a damn username and password login and steam guard.What a shame Steam 1/5

Has an annoying bug by anonymWhen I want to check my friends feed, I have to log in to steam although I'm already logged into the app. So then I have to enter my username and password, followed by my mobile authenticator code. But to get to that I have to go to that part of the app, try to memorize it (bacuse I can't copy-paste) only to be asked for username and password again having to start all over again, while trying to remember the code. But if I check my profile first, it suddenly works..... 4/5
Looks great, works well with plenty of functionality. by anonymJust like Steam for Linux-based operating systems (such as Ubuntu), this looks fantastic and works perfectly without issue... I especially like the fact that this application can notify users when an item on their "wish" list is on special! I've given this four stars because let's be honest - there's always room for improvement... But other than that, this application comes highly recommended. 4/5

What happened to the features by anonymSteam guard has been removed, along with the entire menu on the left side and all the features it contained, making this pretty useless. 1/5
Looking great in 2015 by anonymI don't know who valve hired, but it is looking great now. After years of languishing in the background, Android steam is finally getting some love. One question though, why add broadcast viewing functionality if the built-in browser doesn't support it? Or is it because my version of Android is too old? If that's the case, please tell me that, or anything about why it fails! 4/5
Push notifications by anonymLoved this app for communicating with friends easily over mobile. Now the push notifications aren't working so fluent conversations are hard to come by without constantly checking back on the app to make sure there's no new messages :/ it also no longer has the icon for the notification bar on my phone which I find disappointing. It used to be very straight forward to see the connectivity or if Steam/my network was having any issues. Half the time I wonder if the app is even on. 1/5
